Jeremy Allen White Wants to Watch High School Musical with Zac Efron

There's apparently a new bromance brewing in Hollywood: Jeremy Allen White and Zac Efron.

White, who rose to fame playing stressed-out chef Cami on Hulu's Bears , recently teamed up with High School Musical's Efron for the A24 wrestling biopic Iron Claw — and it appears the pair It really hit it off. So much so that White now jokes about holding hands with Efron during a High School Musical marathon.

Recently, White revealed on Marc Malkin's "Just for Variety" podcast that while he hasn't seen Efron's acclaimed High School Musical trilogy, he'd be very willing to do so under some very special circumstances. try it.

"As long as Zach holds my hand"

"I haven't seen those movies," White told Malkin, adding, "I'm sorry Zach. I will! I'll watch them!"

White then explained what he needed to complete the three Disney movies: "I can only complete them if Zack holds my hand. That's how we get it done."

After Malkin joked that the setup might be a good way to raise money, White chimed in: "Just shoot Zach and I, fingers intertwined, watching three movies — is that three movies?"

He added, "I'll only look at the ones that Zach is involved in. That's part of the deal. But, yeah, I'm willing to do it. Raise some money."

"It's a classic, man. A cult classic."

This wasn't the first time White had brought up HSM , and White didn't know the lyrics to Troy Bolton's "Break Free."

In BuzzFeed's Puppy Interview, White, Efron, and their co-star Harris Dickinson sat down to answer a few questions while naturally playing with several adorable pups.

Stanley Simons also appears in the film, singing a song from "High School Musical" on set. When BuzzFeed asked the three actors what song it was, Efron and Dickinson started singing "Breaking Free." White tries (and fails) to keep up.

After optimistically whispering the (incorrect) word "ride," he began nodding awkwardly to his costars.

"It's a classic, man," Dickinson told Efron. "Cult classic. A trilogy of movies, rent-free, in my head." Meanwhile, White sat quietly with his puppy.

White may not know anything about the "High School Musical" movies, but he's clearly a big fan of Efron. Hopefully the two can host an HSM watch party.
