Orlando Bloom is opening up about fatherhood. In a new clip released by People magazine, the actor opens up about raising his two children, daughter Daisy Dove, whom he shares with fiancé Katy Perry ), and their son Flynn, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
Discussing his favorite family time, he revealed: "For me, it's eating together. Sitting around a table." He's also keen to "go out for a walk or an adventure." Bloom continued: "It's games, it's play. It's connection. It's holding hands, hugging. And telling people you love them so much."
Bloom and his ex-wife Kerr married in 2010 and welcomed their son in early 2011. The actor began dating Perry in 2013, three years after divorcing Kerr. The couple announced their engagement in 2019 and welcomed Daisy Dove in March 2020.
In a 2022 interview with People magazine, Perry also shared details about their family life, revealing that Daisy Dove is "a combination of me and her dad." She continued, "We're fearless, have a lot of unbridled attitude, and are both big shots. So the combination of the two of us is definitely going to work out."
Daisy Dove's debut
The couple's daughter made an adorable public appearance in November 2023 during the final show of Perry's Las Vegas residency. The "Fireworks" hitmaker paid tribute to Daisy Dove during the concert, who appeared on the big screen in a Minnie Mouse costume. "I love you so much," Perry said. "You're my best friend and I'm so glad you're here."
Later in the show, the singer thanked Bloom for "an incredible support system" and "an amazing dad," and revealed how Daisy Dove inspired her Vegas show.
"When I met her, it was like all the love I'd been looking for was finally there. She made me whole," Perry said. "This show is about the child within everyone, and hopefully if we can all see life through a child's eyes, we will be free."
