Another day, another reason to protest Disney+'s cancellation of the Lizzie McGuire reboot. Just a week after writer Jonathan Hurwitz revealed plot details for the first three episodes of the Hilary Duff-starring reboot, he's delving into the rest of the season in a new TikTok video The storyline that will be played out here.

While Lalaine has not yet been confirmed to reprise her role as Miranda, Hurwitz had met with her agent, who told him she would be willing to return. "He's probably going to be a part of Lizzie's story...I think you're actually going to see Lizzie and Matt figure out how to be friends, like real friends, now that they're adults."
Will Kate come back?
One face fans may not see in the remake is Lizzie's high school frenemy Kate, actress Ashley Briault is now a lawyer, as confirmed by her LinkedIn. According to Hurwitz, she has not expressed interest in returning to acting.
"I didn't believe she was acting anymore, so we didn't really have a storyline for her," he explained. "I thought if she wanted to be a part of it, we might be able to find a little way to make a cameo."
What happened after Rome?
Although the reboot takes place years after "The Lizzie Maguire Movie ," in which the group went on a class trip to Italy, it will still include references to their Roman adventures, including Lizzie Maguire's What happens after Qi and Gordo kiss. Finish.
