Jennifer Lopez's album "This Is Me...Now" A musical movie she co-wrote with husband Ben Affleck is finally about to be released. On December 5, J.Lo opened up about working on an upcoming project with Affleck, explaining that she had to tell their story more "personally" than she expected.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at Elle 's Women In Hollywood event, J.Lo said she has "no real plans" to turn her long-awaited album into something larger .
"When the music was finished, I thought to myself, 'There's a bigger story to be told here. There's a greater journey here than just a love story,'" she recalled. "So it became a bigger, more comprehensive project with an incredible message. I realized I had to really tell it in a personal way."

Lopez went on to talk about working with Affleck on the film, saying they "worked really well together" professionally.
"No one knows my story better than he does," she added. “So we were able to sit down and really dig into it in a way that I don’t think any other writer could have done with me.”
Fans have spotted Easter eggs specific to the couple's journey in the film's trailer, such as a love letter dated Christmas 2002 (after their first engagement) and a tribute to Affleck and more than two dozen people. J.Lo admitted that she was starting to feel the pre-release jitters, saying, "I haven't been this nervous about a project in many, many years." However, her husband made her feel safe and secure throughout the process. "The scary thing is putting it out," she said. "That's the scary part."
The This Is Me... Now album and movie will be released on February 16, 2024.
