Lindsay Lohan says husband Bader Shammas makes her 'feel safer'

After tying the knot in 2022, Lindsay Lohan is opening up about her marriage. In a new interview with Bustle, the actor talks about how her husband Bader Shammas makes her "feel safer," especially when it comes to her career.

Lohan met the financier years after moving to Dubai in 2014. Shammas proposed to her on the set of her Netflix film Falling For Christmas and the two got married. They got married in 2022 and welcomed their first child last year. The two recently attended the Vanity Fair Oscars, which she said was "not my husband's choice for a date night."

However, she tells Busy that Shamas is right there by her side when it comes to her public-facing career. "He's going to support me because I'm involved. You know what I mean?"

In fact, Lohan has asked him to be involved in some of her projects, and Shamas is credited as an executive producer on her new Netflix movie , The Irish Wish . "He's very intuitive and has a good understanding of how things are ultimately going to work out," she said. "He can anticipate things. So I like to take his advice on everything and keep him involved. I just feel safer."

The Shammas and their 9-month-old son Luai are often on set with Lohan. The actor recalled his emotions while filming the upcoming Netflix Christmas movie with Kristin Chenoweth and Tim Meadows. "There was one scene where I cried, and then my husband surprised me on set with the baby, so I cried again, happy tears," she said.

While Shamas may be new to Hollywood, Lohan says he's committed to supporting her acting renaissance. They even hope to move back to Lohan's home country from Dubai, although not full-time.

"We'll probably start spending more time [in the United States]," she said. "We're not sure yet. We're still deciding. We're looking now."
