The Traitor Castle has found its next residents. On June 5, showrunner Alan Cumming revealed that "the cast for the new season of Renegades has finally been unlocked" as filming for season three begins in the Scottish Highlands.
The new cast includes some of the biggest names in reality TV and beyond, including "Survivor" alums Rob Mariano, Tony Flachos, Jeremy Collins and Caroline Wiig, as well as "Real Family" Housewives stars Dolores Catania, Dorinda Medley, Chanel Ayan and Robin Dixon.
The all-star lineup also includes Pump Rules' Tom Sandoval, Bachelor Nation's Wells Adams and Gabby Windey, Selling Sunset 's Chrishell Stause, Big Brother 's Britney Haynes and Danielle Reyes, RuPaul's Drag Race winner Bob the Drag Queen, Summer House 's Yara Miller, Bob Harper on The Biggest Loser and Nikki Garcia on Dancing with the Stars .
Zac Efron's brother Dylan Efron will also star in the highly anticipated third season, as will Sam Asghari, cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II and ex-husband of Britney Spears Starring.
"Okay, honey, you got this," Cumming concluded in Today 's casting announcement, teasing that the new season "has got to be the most dangerous one yet."
For those unfamiliar with the Emmy-winning format, here's how it goes: The show takes a group of contestants to Ardross Castle in Scotland, where they have the chance to win huge cash prizes through a series of challenges.
Most players are called "loyalists." However, a secret group of "traitors" lurks among them and is dedicated to wiping out the loyalists one by one.
At the end of each episode, the faithful vote for who they deem to be a traitor in a roundtable elimination ceremony. If only the faithful are left at the end of the game, they will split the prize money equally. However, if the Renegades make it to the finals, they'll steal the cash for themselves.
"Traitor" season 3 release date
In February, Variety confirmed that "Traitor" had been renewed for a third season after breaking Peacock's streaming record. However, a release date for the third season has not yet been announced.
