Chad Michael Murray "can't see the world" without a One Tree Hill reboot.
Murray, who played Lucas Scott on the beloved teen drama for six seasons, recently spoke with E! News about the show's potential return teases that "something's going to happen."
"Whether we bring everyone together for a live reading of the show or create a new fictional future episode, I don't know what that will be," Murray said, adding that now is the time for a modern-day One Tree Hill .
“This show changed and shaped the lives of many young people,” he continued. “There’s a place for today’s cultural shifts and problems that need to be addressed.”
"New Generation"
Talk to E! Murray added that a "new generation of programming" could cover issues facing young people today.
“From social media to racial injustice to the LGBT community to everything out there,” he continued. "So people can feel like they belong and are loved. That's what we need."
One Tree Hill 20 Years
On September 23, Murray celebrated the 20th anniversary of the One Tree Hill pilot, writing on Instagram Stories: "Happy 20th anniversary Fam #3. If you asked me in 2003... I would never have dreamed of it We’ll still have this magical bond.”
