Spoilers for Mean Girls The Musical ahead . Lindsay Lohan was reportedly "very hurt" by a joke in the new Mean Girls musical movie.
Lohan played Cady Heron, a new girl in a relationship with a popular girl, in the original 2004 comedy. Lohan also makes a cameo in the new musical adaptation.
However, a rep for the actor told People she was "disappointed" by a joke that was included in the final cut. The joke was told by Megan Thee Stallion, who also briefly appeared in 2024's Mean Girls .
"The Y2K firepants are back," the rapper said of Cardi's (Angora Rice) Christmas talent show outfit, a line that seemed to be a reference to Paris Hilton's 2006 Paris Hilton and her then-bestie Brandon Davis star in a paparazzi video. In that video, Hilton laughed as Davis called Lohan a "fire crotch" and made other derogatory remarks.

"Mean Girls" writer and co-star Tina Fey recently told The New York Times that she wrote the musical with contemporary audiences in mind.
"I was writing in the early 2000s, and it was very much based on my experiences as a teenager in the late '80s," she explains. "It's no surprise that jokes have changed... I'm a big believer that you can find new ways to make jokes that reduce the chance of accidental shrapnel."
Lindsay's 'Mean Girls' Cameo
The cameo appears near the end of the film when Cady (Rice) competes in a math competition. Lohan plays the host of the competition.
Fey recently discussed Lohan's role in Mean Girls with Entertainment Weekly and revealed that she was the perfect choice for a surprise cameo in the musical movie.
“I try to come up with something you wouldn’t expect,” Fei explains. "I hope that when the fans aren't expecting any more little surprises. It also makes her smart, which is what Cardi is."
After reuniting on set, Fey and Lohan met again at the film's premiere in New York City on January 8 .
