Kristen Stewart remembers her Twilight costumes fondly. The actor recently revisited some of her most memorable looks on WhoWhatWear , and the wedding dress she wore as Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 Clearly the most popular.
"I absolutely love that dress," she said of the French Chantilly lace gown. "I remember being a part of it. It felt like putting on a real wedding dress."
The actor, who is engaged to writer-actor Dylan Meyer, described the dress as the kind of "classic wedding dress" she could imagine wearing to her own wedding. "If I love a classic wedding dress, this would be it," she said, although she clarified that she probably wouldn't choose that style.
The Twilight movies are based on the book series by Stephenie Meyer. According to British Vogue , the author personally asked her favorite designer, Carolina Herrera, to create the dress. "As a huge fan of the Twilight series , I was honored to be a part of this wonderful project," Herrera told the outlet in 2011, adding that she knew the dress "had to be magical."
"When Kristen put the dress on and looked in the mirror, she was so moved," Herrera added. "In that moment she was no longer an actress or a character in a movie, she was a bride, and a happy bride at that."
Meyer was equally excited about Bella's dress. "I love what Carolina did and she came up with an amazing concept. It's similar to what I envisioned but with some added elements," the author previously told E! News. "I wanted the dress to be special and not something you see every day."
