I tried an app that provides customized advice from astrologers

When you're in an astrology enthusiast's apartment, it's not always immediately clear, but there are signs. They have crystals, incense, salt lamps and other mystical, magical decorations everywhere. The same goes for if you take a peek at their phone, which is likely filled with zodiac-themed apps.

By the way, this is me. I have a salt lamp, a crystal collection, and incense, and I also have a bunch of astrology apps that I open whenever I want to read my daily horoscope or see what the planets have in store for me, especially if something is going on It feels different. It's always good to blame a bad day on Mercury retrograde or a sudden impulsive change at the upcoming new moon.

The Cosmic Fusion app contains information like this so I knew I had to add it to my collection. But what really sweetens the deal is the live astrology reading. It's not every day you get to talk to a real astrologer, but with Cosmic Fusion, it's like you always have one in your back pocket.

Read on below for my review of the app and what it was like chatting with an expert.

What you need to know about the Cosmic Fusion app

cosmic fusion

Cosmic Fusion is a personality and compatibility app that combines Western and Chinese astrology. Western astrology includes identifiable sun signs like Scorpio and Taurus, while Chinese astrology assigns you an animal based on the Chinese calendar. For example, if you were born in 1993, you were born in the year of Rooster.

Features

The app "fuses" or blends both practices to provide unique astrological readings, and it also uses its algorithm to give you personalized insights and guidance based on your birth chart. Within the app there is a tarot section, daily horoscopes, and a compatibility section for questions related to love, career, and friendship.

The app has fun interactive moments like zodiac signs quizzes and tarot card readings that let you flip cards. There's also daily mantras to inspire your day, your best compatibility matches, information about upcoming planetary events like the Full Moon, and the latest astrology news from the Cosmic Fusion blog.

To remember what your birth date means, go to the You tab to see everything including your sun sign, elements, planets and gemstones according to Chinese and Western philosophy.

Of course, there is also the live astrologer tab. This feature allows you to connect with experts in real time for personalized insights. They'll read your birth chart, answer questions about love, share career guidance, and more.

Pricing and Subscription Breakdown

While Cosmic Fusion is free to download, you can unlock more content by spending a little extra. Subscribe weekly for $2.99 and get more tarot readings, compatibility information, and cosmic updates. You can choose a monthly subscription ($4.99) or an annual subscription ($39.99). Live astrology readings are available for an additional fee, starting at $15.75 for 5 minutes and going up from there.

my experience

To try out the app, I decided to choose the $2.99 per week option, which gives me access to everything Cosmic Fusion has to offer.

I started by entering my birthday, which immediately revealed my Western and Chinese zodiac signs, elements, planets, and gemstones. As much as I love astrology, I definitely don't know everything there is to know, so I love that I can click on each astrology to learn more, or go to the "You" tab to see all the details.

My sun sign, elements, and Chinese animals are also all displayed on the Home tab, along with daily tarot readings, zodiac signs quizzes, daily spells, and my best compatibility. It turns out that I get along best with Cancers and Pisces in their thirties.

To check if my best friend was actually my best friend based on the stars, I went into the Matches tab and entered her birthday. We ended up with a 60% match, which is not bad for astrology. A long paragraph breaks it all down, even saying: "There is a natural chemistry between the two of you."

When I tried this app, I found that I liked the tarot section the best. Today, my tarot card is the Queen of Pentacles, which represents healing, strength, goddess energy, and abundance. To bring balance to this card, Cosmic Fusion recommends that I surround myself with prosperity-bringing crystals such as Citrine, Tiger Eye, Peridot, and Clear Quartz.

I also really like the three-card check. Today my cards were revealed with the Four of Pentacles, the Lovers card, and the Moon card. The first represents stability and resourcefulness, the second represents harmony and choice, and the third represents psychic intuition, magic, and lunar energy.

According to the app's description of the cards, this card could symbolize my dreams and my subconscious, as well as important choices I need to make. At the same time, the Four of Pentacles indicates that I feel fulfilled and secure. It doesn't explain how the three work together, but with Tarot, everything can be explained.

Like all astronomy girls, I also enjoy checking out the Universe tab for my daily horoscope. Today, it says the Sun is in Pisces, which means this is a good time for me to manifest my transformation. My motto is: “I embrace change bravely and trust my intuition to guide me.”

It also says the next full moon is the Worm Moon on March 24, which is in the majestic constellation Libra. That means this will be a time of fairness, justice, and beauty for everyone—just like the air signs themselves. But because this is a cosmic fusion, the app also explains how I personally will be affected by these planetary changes.

For example, I learned that this year is the year of the Wood Dragon. As a Scorpio, I'm going to start the year with a burst of passion and energy, so this is a great time for me to set goals and start projects. Interestingly, I felt this energy even before seeing the app.

In my opinion, the real highlight of this app is the real-time reading. When you click on the "Astrologers" tab, it will take you to a profile page of five different astrologers. If they are online, they will have a green dot next to them. To get readings, I clicked with astrologer Valerie Mesa, who has 8 years of experience and many good reviews.

The Apple Pay option popped up and we finally connected. I read for five minutes and the app asked me if I wanted to focus on love, career, or something else. I chose "Other" because I wanted to ask about my friend.

When we connected, Valerie popped up in the chat. It's great to know where and when you were born, but astrologers can already see your birthday. All this information allowed them to pull up the birth chart, which is exactly what Valerie did.

I wanted to get an overview of my astrological makeup, so she sent me my chart and gave me a quick review. Valerie told me that I'm "very water dominant," which means I "function more emotionally and intuitively than most people." I think this means I'm a crybaby and I totally agree with that.

I also want to ask about friendships because I've met a lot of new people lately. It turns out there are currently three planets opposing my friendship house, which she said could mean big changes are coming for me. She said it might also explain why I didn't feel completely settled. She went on to say that I might be mentally re-evaluating my values, which felt right.

Valerie added that with my Pluto in Venus, I am a naturally private person, and honestly, that's true. I also learned that I was going through a huge transformation in general, and specifically in my sense of self. When I asked Valerie if this meant new friends would come to me, she said "Of course!"

Read on from there, including more insights into my life. When I finished reading, the app asked me if I wanted to pay more to continue, which I did once to learn more.

takeout

I've been using this app for a few weeks now and I feel like I've learned a lot more about myself, specifically my zodiac signs and how they affect me. It was also fun to delve deeper into my Western astrology and learn more about my life as a water sign Scorpio.

The interactive tarot cards are fun to play whenever I take a break from work, and it’s so fun to enter the birthdays of the people in my life to learn more about our compatibility and what we can do to be better informed. Insightful. along.

As far as phones go, the app does have some glitches, but ongoing updates address them every time. Unique features like a fusion of Chinese and Western, as well as interactive options like live chat, make it well worth it.

If you want to chat, I recommend you come prepared with your questions, as well as your personal information, such as your time and place of birth. This way you can jump right into the conversation and get the most out of your astrology reading.
