You can stay in a hotel room that looks like the inside of Lisa Frank's notebook

Are you planning a trip to Los Angeles during October? If so, you might consider taking advantage of a unique opportunity that just opened up in lodging: Lisa Frank Hotel rooms will soon be available for limited-time reservations on Hotels.com — and yes, it's as brightly colored as you might think so of. To be honest, I really can’t imagine you getting a good night’s sleep living in the Lisa Frank Flat, as its name suggests – it’s, uh… let’s just call it visually Loud - but, I mean...one wouldn't stay in a place called the "Lisa Frank Apartments" if one wanted to remain comatose for most of their stay. correct? correct.

The Lisa Frank Flat is a collaboration between Hotels.com and the beloved '80s and '90s brand to "[take you] directly into Lisa Frank Scenes from childhood notebooks.” Provided to Bustle. "We wanted to design a room that celebrated all things '90s, and nothing evokes the nostalgia of childhood better than these iconic designs," Adam Jay, president of Hotels.com, said in a press release.

The Lisa Frank team added: “Over the past four decades, Lisa Frank fans have grown up appreciating our art in its many forms. Many people are now booking hotel rooms for themselves and their families, and we’re excited to partner with Hotels.com to offer this immersive Lisa Frank experience.”

What exactly does this “immersive Lisa Frank experience” mean? A space filled with rainbows, animal prints, dolphins, puppies and more. Located at a Los Angeles property owned by apartment and condo rental company Barsala, this custom-decorated penthouse features a kitchen, bathroom, and living/bedroom space all decorated with Lisa Frank's signature designs and characters. The hot pink four-poster bed lights up; the giant window display looks like a literal rainbow; and the kitchen cabinets look like a scaled-down version of the old Lisa Frank headquarters building in Arizona. The office area is stocked with Lisa Frank stationery; the LED rainbow shower in the bathroom literally allows you to swim with dolphins, or at least take photos of them.

Of course, this is all very Instagrammable.

As the press release puts it, there's also a minibar "filled with everyone's favorite '90s lunchbox treats," and more importantly, it's a rare free minibar before we even get to know what's inside Before, it automatically placed it on top of the hotel minibar. But, uh, when you actually get to the actual content? It's filled with all the wonderful and terrifying snacks that kids grew up chewing in the '80s and '90s. (It’s me. I’m talking about me. I’m that kid of the 80s and 90s and yes, I refuse to grow up. Did I mention I have toaster pies in my fridge now? ) You have your choice Cheez Balls, Gushers, neon colored drinks in little plastic buckets, Push Pops, Lucky Charms and more.

Lisa Frank-themed gifts that come with the room include a luxurious robe and slipper set, which are also "yours to take," according to the press release; it's unclear if there will be an additional fee, but if you've always dreamed of owning a Lisa Frank bath robe, then now is the opportunity.

Reservations for the Lisa Frank Flat will open on Friday, October 11, with stays available from October 11 to October 27. However, if you want a chance to stay in this apartment, act quickly; bookings can go very quickly.

After years out of the spotlight, Lisa Frank—both personally and as a brand—seems ready for a comeback. This isn't the first iteration of Frank's unique design aesthetic we've seen recently; for example, just over a month ago, another collaboration launched between Lisa Frank and tech accessories company CASETiFY. The range, which includes items such as phone cases, laptop cases and a PopSocket-like "ring holder", proved so popular that it sold out within a week and a half, so it goes to show that there are clearly still schools out there that come with the same designs. Among people who grew up with supplies, they developed an interest and audience for rainbow-colored unicorns, puppies, aliens, and food.
