Samsung promises new $200 Galaxy Watch FE will have tons of features

You can get a Galaxy Watch with all the tech for just $200.

Samsung has just released the latest model in its Galaxy Watch series. The Galaxy Watch FE sells for $199, and the company claims it has all the technology of its main watch to help you manage your fitness and health.

The new Galaxy Watch SE features sapphire crystal, which Samsung says will prevent scratches, a 40mm round design, and comes in black, pink gold, and silver. There’s also a new one-touch strap with blue and orange stitching to match the new watch.

"At Samsung, we strive to bring health and fitness monitoring capabilities to as many people as possible around the world, helping them make the changes necessary to improve their daily health and help them achieve their goals," said Junho Park, vice president and head of Galaxy. the ecosystem product planning team said in a statement. "We're excited to add the new Galaxy Watch FE to our portfolio of wearables, giving more people access to personalized health insights so they can stay motivated and stay healthy day and night."

The new, cheaper Galaxy Watch features Samsung's "advanced BioActive sensor," which the company says will help users manage their sleep and heart health, including tailored sleep guidance and alerts for irregular heart rates and atrial fibrillation. Their electrocardiograms can also be monitored.

Samsung says you can track more than 100 different workouts on the Galaxy Watch FE and manage your progress. Runners can track overall performance and get guidance to help prevent injuries, as well as a personalized heart rate zone feature for setting running goals.

Apple's more affordable Apple Watch SE sells for $249, so it's clear that Samsung is vying to be the smartwatch market leader.

The Bluetooth model of the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be available starting on June 24, and the LTE model will be launched soon.
