Connected to a PC via Air Link, you can play VR games not supported on Quest 2 and play PC versions of Quest 2 games with better graphics and performance. Because the connection is wireless, you have full range of movement on the Quest 2 for room-scale gaming.
Here's how to wirelessly connect your Meta or Quest 2 to your PC:
If you haven't done so already, download and install the Meta Quest application on your computer.
You'll need to make sure you're logged into the app with the same Facebook or Meta account you use for the headset.
Press the menu button on the right touch controller to bring up the toolbar in VR.
Select the Quick Settings shortcut (Time, Battery, and Wi-Fi on the toolbar.)

Air Link connects Quest 2 to your PC via a Wi-Fi network. For the best experience, you should connect your PC to the router via a wired Ethernet connection and ensure there is a clear line of sight between the Quest 2 and the router.
Any obstructions between the router and the Quest 2 can create interference that can cause unstable gameplay, blurry graphics, and other issues. If there are many devices connected to your wireless network, congestion can also affect your gaming experience.
In addition to the wireless Air Link option, you can also connect the Quest 2 to your PC via a USB cable via Quest Link. This method requires a high-quality USB-C cable to be connected to your computer while you play games.
Using a physical cable to connect the Quest provides a more consistent experience in terms of smooth gameplay and graphics, but it limits your movement, so it's best used for a seated gaming experience.
When connecting via a wired Quest Link connection, be careful not to yank or pull on the USB-C cable. Sudden head or body movement can damage the USB-C port on your Quest 2 or PC.
