Blink can now sort and combine multiple camera clips

This feature gives you a more comprehensive view of what's happening on multiple Blink security cameras.

Home security cameras can capture tons of video that you have to wade through to see all the details of an incident, especially if you have multiple cameras. Blink wants to make the entire process easier.

In an announcement sent to Lifewire, Blink is launching a new feature called Blink Moments for Blink Subscription Plus Plan customers, which collects and organizes captured video to create a streamlined clip that shows you a single , condensed story.

The new feature comes in response to the number of clips some home security systems can capture, according to a press release. "Today, the average Blink customer has three cameras per home and generates hundreds of motion events. Due to the sheer volume of footage, manually scrolling through individual clips can be time-consuming," the company wrote in a press release.

If Blink Moments happens to capture a video clip or "moment" that you want to keep (perhaps a child playing outside or a family pet exploring the yard), you can download and share those videos using your smartphone.

Blink Moments are only available to Blink Subscription Plus program members. A Blink subscription to the Plus plan costs $10 per month or $100 per year, but you also get some features not available on the Blink Basic plan ($3 per month or $30 per year), including an unlimited number of devices, such as Blink Outdoor 4 wireless floodlight security cameras, custom pause options, up to 60 days of video cloud storage and 90 minutes of continuous live viewing per session, plus discounts on Blink devices through Amazon.
