Add more window management options to your PC with this app

Ever wished a certain window could be pinned on top of all other windows? Or can you see through the window and see what's behind? A free, open-source Windows utility called MenuTools lets you do this and more.

Once the program is installed, you can simply right-click on the bar at the top of any window and you'll find more options. My personal favorite is the ability to make any window transparent. This may occasionally be useful, but most of the time I think it's neat.

You can also pin any window to the top - a feature with even more obvious utility. For example, you can pin Notepad to the top while the video is playing full screen. This combines well with transparency - you can still see what's going on behind the note-taking window.

One more feature: the ability to minimize any window to the system tray instead of the taskbar. Many applications offer functionality like this, but with MenuTools you can apply it to any application. This is perfect if you want your app to run in the background without taking up any visual space in your workflow.

There's one last feature in the menu: the ability to change an application's process priority. This is a feature you'll only find deep inside Task Manager, and for good reason: messing with priorities can lead to instability, and isn't really necessary in most cases. I strongly recommend that you don't use this feature unless you know what it means. However, you can select this option if you want a certain application to have priority access to the CPU.

MenuTools is not new: it has been around since 2014 and was last updated in 2020. The developers are still answering questions on Github, though, and it works well with Windows 11.
