With the release of Google's Pixel 8 series last fall, the Pixel 7 series has understandably lost some of its luster. But these are still great phones, and at the right price, they're very attractive - and I think Woot has found it.

Until June 1 (or while supplies last), you can pick up a new, unlocked Google Pixel 7 Pro for more than 50% off the original price of $899, with prices starting at $399.99 for the 128GB model. If you want to save more money instead of getting a fancier camera, the 128GB Google Pixel 7 is on sale for $354.99 after a 41% discount (regularly $599.99). (Please note that Woot only ships to the 48 contiguous U.S. states. If you have Amazon Prime, shipping is free; otherwise, shipping is $6.)

The 256GB Pixel 7 Pro was on sale for $699 at Best Buy and Amazon during Black Friday, before dropping to $599 around Christmas. Right now you can buy the 256GB version for $439.99, which is the lowest price I've ever seen (even cheaper than Amazon). The same goes for the 128GB and 512GB versions. I think 128GB is enough for most people, but spending $40 to double the storage isn't a bad idea. When the Google Pixel 7 Pro launched in October 2022, our friends at PCMag named it the best Android phone on the market, giving it an "Excellent" rating .

When Google released the two phones, the Pixel 7 had strong legs, and the $300 difference justified its status. Currently, the price difference between the two phones is $45. As senior technology editor Jake Peterson points out in a side-by-side analysis of these phones, the Pixel Pro has a better telephoto camera, better ultra-high-resolution zoom, and a larger display with a slightly higher refresh rate. But if you don't care about those things, spend $45 on a really nice phone case.

Overall, Pixel phones are impressive devices and my personal favorite smartphones. My Pixel 6a is still going strong, but at this price I would consider upgrading if it gave me any problems. Alas, I'll have to hold myself back for a while longer: As Google continues to deliver older Pixel security fixes as well as quarterly feature updates (including the Circle Search feature), my 6a will be in good hands for the next few years. Come on, Pixel The 7 Pro should last you longer.
