Today in Stuff I Didn't Know I Needed, we have this: Corkcicle makes sparkling, insulated, stemless wine glasses that will keep your wine cool for over nine hours. And more importantly, that collection of gleaming, insulated, stemless wine glasses? Part of the Corkcicle series, officially known as the "Unicorn Magic" series.
There's a lot going on there. 1. Flash. 2. Unicorn. Third, Corkcicle, which is apparently getting really cool. Although I didn't watch it, I... don't really know what to make of it. I mean, to me, Corkcicles—the original Corkcicle, now known as Corkcicle Air—have always just been a default “harmless” item that you might get at the end of a White Elephant gift exchange: Not super exciting; a little bougie; but, you know, nice. You could do worse. But are the sparkling insulated wine glasses from Corkcicle made of unicorn magic ? Now this is a white elephant gift and I will do my best to grab it.
Where are we anyway?
Right - Corkcicle.
Bar supplies and lifestyle brand ( lifestyle brand! Corkcicle is a lifestyle brand Corkcicle apparently first came out in 2010, when inventor Ben Hewitt came up with the idea for the original Corkcicle: a fancy ice bag shaped like an icicle that could be made from Cool a bottle of wine internally, not with icicles, instead of having to wait hours for your favorite Sauvignon Blanc to reach an acceptable temperature after putting it in the refrigerator, says entrepreneur Eric Miller. Stephen Bruner brought the product to market, and in 2011 the world saw the Corkcicle for the first time.
Unicorn Magic Stemless Wine Glass CorkcicleCorkcicle itself, now called Corkcicle Air, has been the brand's flagship product for nearly a decade - but I recently learned that they've also branched out over the next few years, producing coolers, tumblers, clothing (for For some people) the reason? ), a canteen capable of holding full bottles of wine, and yes, insulated stemless wine glasses and champagne flutes.
Both the insulated wine glasses and flutes have the same general design: Made of stainless steel and featuring "proprietary triple insulation," they're vacuum-sealed and can keep whatever you put in them warm for about three hours or refrigerated. About nine hours. The 12-ounce wine glass also comes with a shatterproof lid, but the 7-ounce flute does not. Both have "non-slip silicone bottoms" and "easy-grip sides," which to me means they're designed for poolside drinking. Yes, rosé wine. Or more specifically, yes, Unicorn Tears Rosé.
Unicorn Magic Stemless Wine Glass – Pixie DustCorkcicleUnlike S'well water bottles, Corkcicle's insulated wine glasses come in a variety of designs and finishes, which brings us to our point: some of these designs and finishes are collected under a product line called Unicorn Magic, which might One of the greatest things I've ever seen.
Initially, I didn't realize the series was called "Unicorn Magic." I first found these glasses at quirky e-tailer Always Fits – which is where I originally found those delightful Mr. Rogers lunch notes of encouragement – and honestly, I didn’t even need them The whole "unicorn" moniker. Get my attention. I'm particularly drawn to a sparkling periwinkle wine called the "Corkcicle Sparkle Pixie Dust Stemless Wine Glass," although I have to admit that the sparkling black "Corkcicle Sparkle Stardust" glass also speaks to my spooky little soul .
Unicorn Magic Stemless Wine Glass – StardustCorkcicleIt wasn't until I visited Corkcicle's official website that I discovered the full line of sparkling glasses and other assorted bar items called Unicorn Magic. Other descriptors—"Pixie Dust," "Stardust," etc.—are specific colors available throughout the Unicorn Magic range. It's a little confusing that one of the colors in the Unicorn Magic range - Iridescent White - is also called Unicorn Magic, but regardless, I love it. Plus, there's a color on the Corkcicle website that Always Fits doesn't have: a shimmery light gold, champagne color called—wait for it—Glampagne.
Granpani.
I can not.
Unicorn Magic Stemless Wine Glass – GlampagneCorkcicleAlso included in the Unicorn Magic range are Anyhoo tumblers in 16-ounce and 24-ounce sizes, and pitchers in 16-ounce, 25-ounce and 60-ounce sizes. For reference, 25 fl oz is equal to approximately 740 ml, and 60 fl oz is approximately 1,775 ml. A standard bottle of wine is 750 milliliters, which means a 25-ounce bottle can fill one bottle, while a 60-ounce bottle can fill more than two bottles .
Just, you know... think about it.
I'll leave you with one last question: Is it summer yet?
