Typically, when old posts from celebrities resurface on X (formerly known as Twitter), it usually spells trouble for their careers. But for Travis Kelce, it only makes fans love him even more.
If you saw the phrase “Travis Kelce Tweet” trending on November 15th, you might have thought that the famous football player was canceled for his inflammatory remarks from a decade ago, or worse Yes - he said bad things about future girlfriend Taylor Swift. But luckily, there's no need to throw away your No. 87 jersey just yet, because the only crime the 34-year-old Kelce has committed is posting his snack, nap and performance habits without checking the spelling first.
"A big drink of #DosAquis and a BBQ burger please!!! Happy Cinco de Meyo!!!!!!" Kelce posted on May 5, 2011, with spelling errors and other issues. These were the exact thoughts that were in the heartthrob's head 12 to 14 years ago, and fans can't seem to let go of it.
“Travis Kelce’s old tweets are like reading a puppy’s thoughts,” @tomanlorenzo posted on X. "I'm not going to lie, those old Travis Kelce tweets have affected me," @axilatl wrote. "That's my man and I love him. Protect him at all costs."
From much-needed Chipotle runs to mesmerizing squirrel encounters, there's a lot to unpack in Travis Kelce's old posts.
Travis Kelce, Extraordinary Fast Food
Travis Kelce spent a lot of time posting about food between 2009 and 2011, and before you jump to any conclusions: No, he didn't tweet like a troll about a bad restaurant experience. This guy seems to really like food, judging by his excessive use of capital letters and exclamation points.
"Going to get some Taco Bell!!!" Kelce wrote on September 14, 2009, before getting everyone excited to see what's going to happen tonight. After the post went viral, Taco Bell's official The account couldn’t help but chime in. ,” the account posted on Nov. 15, referring to the lyric changes Swift made to her hit song “Karma” during a Nov. 11 concert in Argentina.
Taco Bell wasn't the only fast-casual restaurant Kelce frequented in his early 20s. "Going to Olive Garden with dad!! Gotta grab the fettuccine and chicken alfredo!! #shmackin," the two-time Super Bowl champion posted on June 27, 2011, after the Italian restaurant chain posted it on 11 Replied on May 15, "This is a love story, baby just say 'when'" along with a red heart and cheese emoji.
Kelce also makes sure to give the most important meal of the day some love. "I'm jumping!!!! I love having breakfast here! Well, I'd like a T-bone steak and eggs! Haha, white toast on the side!" Kansas City Chiefs tight end on July 2010 Posted on the 18th. “What a king of order,” X user @loveisgolden13_ replied on November 14.
Of all the restaurants he tweeted about between the ages of 20 and 22, there was one that seemed to capture Kelce's heart the most. That place is Chipotle, or as he calls it, "Chipolte."
"All I have to say is Chipolte is about to get booed!!" Kelce wrote on September 14, 2009. (Remember, he posted this the same day he tweeted about Taco Bell.) If you search the term "Chipotle" on Kelce's X account, you can see for yourself all the football player Embarrassing typo.
"Currito burritos are good...but the taste doesn't compare to CHIPOLTE!!!!!" Chief's tight end posted on May 16, 2010. If Kells had lived, he would have been a great food critic. Yes, chef!
Nap time never ends
When Kelce isn't posting about food, he's probably taking a nap. X user @phoenixlokis wrote: "One thing about Travis Kelce is that he takes naps," along with screenshots of 15 (yes, 15 ) different tweets containing the word "nap."
"I wish I had Travis kelce's thoughts," said @rottenpeachs. "Nothing to worry about except football and nap time." He has the sleep habits I always strive for.
man and wildness
You have to admit, Kelce's old tweets are a good representation of how most 22-year-olds posted in 2011. But while Kelce was contemplating his next "Chipolte" order, his future girlfriend was actually writing a script about turning 22, and there's no denying that the pop star was more eloquent with her words at that age.
"Yes, we're happy and free and confused and alone all at the same time/It's magical and painful at the same time, oh yes/Tonight is the night we forget about deadlines," Swift declares on her hit "22." While the songwriter was busy crafting a catchy pop song honoring all the complicated emotions that plagued her early adulthood, Kelce was marveling at a squirrel.
"I just gave a squirrel a piece of bread and it just smashed it all over!!!! I didn't know they ate bread like this! Haha #crazy," the pro athlete posted on April 14, 2011. Again, all of these misspellings are true. Autocorrect, where is it?
Understandably, this stark contrast sparked some pretty hilarious reactions on X. “Taylor Swift was touring for Speak Now in 2011 and Travis could barely speak,” @samantha_megan0 said with a crying-laughing emoji. Sounds like the perfect man to me.

Far from falling out of favor with the public, these wholesome posts turned casual fans into dedicated Kelce fans.
“Travis Kelce’s old tweet is the biggest green flag I’ve ever seen in my life,” @spelunky_ shared. No wonder T-Swift likes him so much.
