As we all know, Christmas celebrations are going to be different this year. But thankfully there's still plenty to be excited about throughout the festive period, including Pret a Manger's 2020 Christmas menu - a fresh batch of delicious treats just in time for Christmas.
As well as returning customer favorites such as melted gingerbread snowmen, chocolate tiffins and signature Christmas lunches, Pret’s updated seasonal selection also includes a revamped hot food range, with the addition of three new vegan options: Vegan Christmas Lunch Baguettes, Vegan Christmas Hot Lunch. Rolls and Vegan Christmas Nut Roast.
Also joining the festive menu is the chain's first-ever pig in a blanket, which can be enjoyed in a pot or in a warm crusty roll filled with a layer of caramelized onion chutney. Those with a sweet tooth can indulge in a vegan hazelnut and caramel brownie, or enjoy a new twist on Pret's traditional mince pies, which will be sold as a vegan product this year.
Elsewhere, the already delicious hot drinks menu has been expanded with the arrival of Gingerbread Latte, Salted Caramel Latte and S'mores Hot Chocolate - a Christmas treat topped with whipped cream, chocolate swirl and Pret's own Mascot Marshmallow Melvin's drink-headed snowman. The festive drinks will be served in exclusive Christmas cups and available for purchase through Pret's YourBarista coffee subscription service.
In line with official government guidance, Pret and Veggie Pret stores will remain open during lockdown, offering takeaway and delivery services. Luckily for us, the chain has expanded the number of stores offering delivery during this period, and for a limited time, customers can also order from Pret's festive menu via delivery partners including Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats Order in.
Commenting on this year’s Christmas menu, Pret UK Food and Coffee Director Briony Raven said: “It continues to be a challenging year and we are more excited than ever to launch a Christmas menu that we hope will bring joy to our customers "We strive to add a little extra indulgence and spread joy in a way that only Pret can," she continued.
