Marks & Spencer launches new Marmite cheese slices that cut out the middleman

Love it or hate it, there's no denying that Marmite is a staple food in the UK. In recent years, it's spawned a number of hybrid products, including Marmite hummus, Marmite peanut butter, and even Marmite pastry cheese twists. Newest to the series? Marmite cheese slices from Marks & Spencer.

Available in food courts in packs of six, emblazoned with the famous yellow Marmite logo, the unmistakable sweet and salty flavor of this divisive spread is paired with mature and creamy cheddar cheese made with West Country Milk and Barbers Cheddar Combine.

For those of us who like cheese and extra salty flavor on our toast, this new product is great. Now you can leave out the middle man and instead spread the Marmite before the cheese starts. I also can’t wait to melt these bad boy slices onto cozy skin-on potatoes. Uh-huh. The retailer recommends adding the tangy slice to burgers, pouring it over scones, or letting it go gooey and covering honey-baked ham on toast. so. many. choose.

The supermarket shared the exciting news on Instagram as part of Cheesemas, a cheese-themed countdown to Christmas. "Say hello to our latest collaboration with Marmite... Marmite cheese slices!" the caption read. “These slices have that salty-sweet Marmite flavor that you just can’t resist.”
