Is the Stanley Tempering Cup worth it?

Every year without fail I add "drink more water" to my list of potential New Year's resolutions. It’s an easy method to incorporate into my lifestyle while still feeling like an accomplishment and the health benefits are great. I find my skin is clearer and less tired, although the subtle bragging rights of always feeling hydrated is an added bonus. As a big believer in an "emotional support water bottle" (a water bottle you can take with you), I also think having an easy- to-drink water bottle can make a big difference. When I got my hands on the coveted 40 oz Stanley Cup Quencher, I couldn't have predicted how much of an impact it would have on my hydration journey, but alas, my life has changed for the better.

When I call this cup "mouthwatering," I don't say that lightly. The Stanley Cup Quencher is a Target TikTok and mom blogger’s dream drinking vessel. Remember last year’s VSCO girl? That's the same obsession people have with this water bottle, just a little more sophisticated. I've never been more excited to jump on the bandwagon - I've been using the Stanley every day since buying it back in November without fail. According to the brand, 100,000 people were waiting to buy Quencher's spring color collection, which includes fun shades like coral, lavender, sage green, pastel pink and baby blue, on March 1. cup. You don’t have to take my word for it – the numbers speak for themselves. Here's everything you need to know about the Stanley Cup Quencher, including its features, price, and why the Internet and I have never been so moisturized.

What is the Stanley Quencher Tumbler?

While adding another reusable water bottle to your wish list may seem like a boring thing, the Stanley Quencher stands out because of its size, shape, and straw. How much water you should drink every day depends on many variables, such as your personal health, lifestyle and climate where you live, but it is recommended that people drink around 2.7 liters a day. Hydration is so important for your physiological functions, in fact, says Maya Feller, RDN, NOW health expert, it helps regulate your mind and body. "When we consume proper fluids, the health of our entire body is supported," she tells Bustle. “The body uses water to form saliva (the first step in digestion), [water also] helps the brain form neurotransmitters and hormones, helps transport oxygen throughout the body, and is involved in flushing waste products from the body.” Stanley Quencher 1.18 full volume liters, so you can easily track your water intake to ensure your body's processes remain balanced - just refill the bottle 3 times a day.

Stanley Quench Cup History

If you're into outdoor activities like camping and tailgating, you may be familiar with the Stanley brand. Founded in 1913, the company specializes in steel vacuum bottles as well as items such as lunch boxes, coolers and camping cookware. Stanley Quencher became popular with mainstream shoppers in 2021, with sales increasing 275% year-over-year, according to the brand. The online hype surrounding the product may be a factor in the growing numbers: Countless users on TikTok talk about the mug at length or casually tout it in their daily vlogs, leading to an uptick in interest and every time it comes up There was a very long waiting list to sell out (which happens quite often).

The design

The shape of the Stanley Cup makes it easier to carry around because it has a durable handle that you can hold onto while you drink hot drinks inside. When I used other water bottles that didn't have handles, I had to buy extra straps or lids to make it easier to carry around. For me, though, the straw feature is hands down the best part, as many other reusable cups come with straw lids that are difficult to clean, making them more susceptible to germs. Stanley's straws are easy to remove, the lids are easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher, and you can purchase additional bottle accessories like lids and straws if you want to add some soup to your bottles.

Is the Stanley Quencher Tumbler worth the price?

IMHO, the Stanley Quencher is worth the price for its functionality - but only if you can get it at retail rather than resale. It sells for $40 at Target, Williams Sonoma, REI and Amazon, among others, but can fetch quite a bit more when resold. Some sellers are selling them for $60 to $100 on sites like eBay. Pro Tip: If you want to try Stanley's products before purchasing a full-size cup, you can choose from 14-ounce, 20-ounce, or 30-ounce sizes for $20, $25, and $30, respectively.

similar product

Competitors like Hydroflask and S'well sell similarly sized bottles for $50 and up, so Stanley Quenchers' price tag is in line with the market and cheaper than other brands for those who have used both competing brands . It's possible to buy water bottles with extra straw caps, but they act more like spouts, which makes them difficult to clean all corners. My 40 oz Hydroflask also would never fit in a car cup holder and was cumbersome to carry without purchasing extra straps. The S'well bottle is great at temperature regulation, but I always pass on mine because of the skinny shape and having to bring its own straw (bringing my own) for optimal drinking.

My hydration

Refilling my Stanley Quencher Tumbler at least three times a day has become part of my daily routine without extra thought. Since I use the straw setting most often, it makes it easy to reach a cup on a desk, nightstand, or side table without having to unscrew a heavy metal lid to take a sip. Plus, the straw feature makes it virtually non-spillable when I take a sip. Before jumping on the Stanley bandwagon, there were days when my head would start pounding by 3pm because I definitely didn't drink enough water that day. Now, drinking at least 40 ounces of water before 10 a.m. has become second nature to me, and I don't think I'll ever go back.

final verdict

Stanley's 40 oz Tempered Cup has truly changed the way I drink water. When I'm at home or on the go, I can easily sip with a straw instead of fumbling with the metal twist-on cap. I now have two full-size quenchers so I can switch between the two while one is in the dishwasher - so drinking at least three bottles a day has become part of my daily routine. Now if only it were just as easy to find in inventory...
