Taylor Swift continued her record-breaking Eras tour over the weekend with two shows in Milan, Italy, and fans thought she included an Easter egg in her performance to tease her next release, the re-recorded "Reputation." Taylor version).
Fans have been anticipating the album since Swift released "1989" (Taylor's version) in October 2023. By this time, she had re-recorded all of her albums except Reputation and her self-titled debut album.
Swifties, who was initially expected to announce the album at the 2024 Grammy Awards, instead unveiled her 11th studio album , The Tortured Poets Department , instead. Now that the dust has settled on Torture Poet , fans are back in investigative mode, looking for signs pointing to Reputation .
Taylor changes into her fearless dress
During the July 13 show, Swift debuted a new look for her " Fearless " performance. She usually wears a gold dress to represent the album, but in Milan she added a black element, which may be a nod to the Reputation era.
The new outfit reminds fans of some of the black and gold outfits Swift wore on the Reputation tour.
Swift has used her wardrobe to hint at the release of "Taylor Edition" in the past. For example, before "1989" was announced, she wore several blue outfits at a show in Los Angeles on Aug. 9.
Her new black and gold dress isn't her only recent change. On July 14, she also wore a new dress from the Speak Now era.
If she continues in chronological order with the albums - "Fearless" was released in 2008, followed by "Speak Now " in 2010 - one fan speculates she will debut " Red" at a show in Germany (2012) and new looks for 1989 (2014), ahead of the Rep (TV ) announcement on July 19. Another fan speculated that she would debut a new Rep -coded outfit in each city, leading to an album release when she returns to London in August.
taylor's piano malfunction
During the July 14 "Secret Songs" segment, Swift suffered a piano malfunction while playing a medley of "Out of the Woods" and "Getaway Car," the latter from "Reputation." “We finally broke this thing,” she said as a stage technician joined her onstage to fix it.
Some fans thought the moment was staged, claiming they heard a "hissing" sound when the singer turned on the piano. Snakes were a recurring theme during the Reputation era, so it wouldn't be surprising if she used this imagery to tease the re-recording.
However, other fans are skeptical of this theory, believing that the "hissing" sound in the video clip is just Swift's laughter.
