Clinique's TikTok-Viral Dark Honey Lipstick Now Available for Cheeks, Lips Eyes

Since 1971, Clinique Lipstick in Black Honey ($25) has been not only a bestseller from the nostalgic brand, but a must-have for beauty lovers of all kinds.

When the product launched, Carol Phillips, one of the brand's founders, aimed to create a "classic black turtleneck" lip product for women of all skin tones - and that's the result. The sheer berry shade looks great on just about everyone, and this lipstick has cemented its place as one of the most iconic beauty products of all time.

Clinique Black Honey Obsession

Although Black Honey has been a favorite for more than 50 years, it experienced a TikTok-fueled renaissance in 2021.

In July of that year, the product went viral on the platform after creators raved about the "freshly bitten" berry wash it left behind. Due to FYP's growing popularity, Clinique tells Bustle that a tube of Black Honey Below lipstick is sold approximately every three minutes in the U.S. alone.

Clinique Almost Lipstick Ulta

In addition to the OG sheer lippie, Clinique also offers the Black Honey shade in blush powder and lip gloss form. The brand also launched an eight-color eyeshadow palette inspired by berry tones. Over the next few weeks, Black Honey's dominance will rise to a whole new level.

The highly sought after collection continues to grow

On June 30, Clinique officially launches three unexpected new products in the Black Honey Collection: Lip and Cheek Oil ($27), High Impact™ Gel Technology Eyeliner ($28), and High Impact™ Mascara ($26 ).

While other previous Black Honey products were inspired by the original lipstick, these three products are an exact color match.

"Berry Girl" Makeup Is Coming

While "dark honey" has had a loyal following for decades, "berry girl" makeup is a more recent glamorous trend, enchanting A-listers like Sydney Sweeney.

In a nutshell, this trend uses sheer berry-toned pigments on lips, cheeks, and eyes to create a stunning monochromatic (and often glossy) vibe. To be honest? Dark honey becomes the easiest way to achieve a berry-inspired look with all lash colors, even lashes.
