Lindsay Lohan's reality show finally explains #DoTheLiLo viral dance clip

On a seemingly peaceful day in the late summer of 2018, a strange video began circulating in Slack chats, Whatsapp groups, and Facebook feeds around the world. At the time, Lindsay Lohan was relatively low profile compared to the amount of media coverage she had received in the past. Then, suddenly, there she was: donning a jumpsuit, bending and snapping in front of a DJ booth in Mykonos. Seemingly random and completely impossible to look away from, the scene quickly went viral and was tagged #DoTheLiLo. Now, eight episodes into Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club , the true story behind #DoTheLiLo has been revealed, and the whole thing actually makes a lot of sense.

Summer is halfway through in Mykonos, and Lindsay has finally fired her second VIP host. Previously, Jules Wilson was fired for having too little personality. This time, Keira Casillas was sent away for taking things too far with her boss - and honestly, it was about time.

While Lindsay is an atypical boss, to say the least, walking into employee rooms and laughing at them for being untidy is not how the Olive Garden manager handles things, and all the VIP hosts signed up to be part of an MTV series called Lindsay Lohan Beach Club . What did they expect?

Kayla was so disappointed in Lindsay's behavior that she simply couldn't shut up and confronted her boss about it all. Lindsay lets her go at the beginning of the episode. This raises the question, how could the drama possibly begin there?

But I picked it up anyway, and in a surprisingly feel-good way. Brent, who has been making homophobic comments about Aristotle, actually decides to get over himself and perform a drag show for the club's guests. Alex decides to apologize to Mike for his careless comment about bisexuality and save their friendship. Then, minutes before the end, the highlight of the episode comes, and it's not a drunken argument or a tearful attempt at reconciliation. This is Lindsay herself, and the original #DoTheLiLo, finally being put into context.

The LiLo dance, first captured and posted by Neil Wang, is head-scratching. She's obviously happy in Mykonos, but what does that mean ?

On first viewing, #DoTheLiLo looks a bit like Lindsay might just be stealing the spotlight from unsuspecting Mykonos partygoers with a random impromptu performance. But in reality, the stage is the real one where Mike, Gabby, and Brent just performed. Lindsay had the dancing crowd cheering with joy when Panos (let's be honest , the real mastermind behind Lindsay Lohan's beach club ) decided to bring her on stage.

Both Lindsay and Panos gleefully hit the streets at several bars, at which point everyone started chanting Lindsay's name. In a longer clip that played on the show, you can see that Lindsay was actually quite embarrassed about everyone calling her to dance, but, being a professional star, she didn't miss a beat before she broke down.

After seeing how the whole thing was supposed to be documented, it begs the question, why didn't Panos get more media attention the first time around? He's almost impossible to miss in this viral video, cheering on Lindsay like the ultimate pageant mom.

Now, it all makes sense. Lohan Beach House is all about creating a brand that allows people to have fun, feel comfortable, and live like Lindsay Lohan for a day. The LiLo dance is both a symbol and a celebration of the brand, and best of all, that 's how you party in Mykonos, bitch.
