Ever since Miley Cyrus sang her self-love song "Flowers" on ex-husband Liam Hemsworth's birthday in January, fans have been buzzing about her new album " Endless Summer Vacation 's account of her divorce was of great interest . The Hannah Montana vet didn't go into detail about who and which songs she's covering — she left that for fans to analyze on Twitter — but she noted that the album "feels like a Intimate, honest conversations.” The closest Cyrus came to mentioning her divorce in the Disney+ special was probably when she discussed writing "River." She explained that the song came from a time when she was "going through a lot emotionally and personally" and a dance party helped turn things around for her.

Explaining the evolution, she said that sometimes "Trouble" felt like "an April shower that wouldn't stop raining," but then it started "pouring love." During her tough times, it was music that brought her love from her friends and "all the legends" including Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. “Sometimes we just need a song on the dance floor,” she explained of “River,” before adding, “That said, they didn’t want me to talk about what the song was actually about [ bleep ]. This is so fucking disgusting.”

Cyrus said the album as a whole "really represents" who she is, and that she believes her greatest records and songs all have one thing in common. "I think Endless Summer represents to me how fearless I am in experimenting, not just with my voice, but with who I am and how I want to be seen," she explains.
