Sofia Richie is married — and her famous dad didn't even have to vet him ahead of time. On April 22, the 24-year-old model, daughter of music icon Lionel Richie and sister of Nicole Richie, tied the knot with Elliot Grange after two years of dating. The couple announced their engagement in April 2022, exactly one year after going public with their relationship in 2021.
It turns out Richie and her new husband both share a famous father. Grange is the son of Universal Music Group CEO and Chairman Sir Lucien Grange, who has worked with everyone from Elton John to Rihanna during his illustrious career Everyone works together. But the 29-year-old tycoon has branched out as a music executive in his own right, founding independent record label 10K Projects and signing up-and-coming artists like Ice Spice and Iann Dior.
Greaney had the approval of Richie's father, Lionel, before they started dating, as the "Hello" singer frequently collaborated with his father. "I love Elliot, I've known him since he was 12 years old," he told Access Hollywood after his daughter announced their engagement. "It's one of those things where I don't have to go back and check on the kids. I know who it is."
Unlike his model wife, Grenier is more private on social media, and his Instagram page previously only had four posts, which he later deleted. However, Richie posted enough content for them both on her Instagram, announcing their biggest milestone on her page.

Richie posted the first photo of her and Grainge on her Instagram account on March 26, 2021, sharing a masked elevator selfie with just a sunflower emoji in the caption. This isn't confirmation of their romance, but it's the first sign.

A little over a week later, the couple went Instagram official when Richie shared a photo of her kissing Grange in a slideshow that pretty much said it all.

August 2021: Sofia and Elliot buy their first home
Richie and Grainge moved into their first home in August, a few months after they started dating, The Dirt reported. The couple moved into a $17 million Beverly Hills mansion on "Music Row," which is also home to Rihanna and Paul McCartney, but a year later, they sold out for $22 million. March 2022: Their red carpet debut
Nearly a year after going public with their relationship, Richie and Grange made their first public appearance in March 2022, attending Elton John's annual Oscars party and holding hands on the red carpet.
April 2022: Sophia and Elliot get engaged
Richie announced her engagement to Grainge on April 20 by posting photos from Grainge's romantic proposal, which included a photo of the two kissing with her new engagement ring in full view. Grange posed the question on a balcony overlooking the sea, covered in flower petals and surrounded by endless candles. "Never is long enough," she captioned the post.

Days later, Grange's father Lionel opened up about the engagement to Access Hollywood, revealing that Grange asked to propose to his daughter but had a "nervous breakdown" while doing so. "I thought he was going to pass out, but he survived," he said. "I was going to bully him a little bit, but I didn't want to play and he would pass out. It's awesome. ... They're deeply in love, so all I can say is, that's all you really want as a dad ”

In October, Richie hosted a multi-day bachelorette party in the city of love, Paris. The model shared a slideshow of photos from the celebration, including a photo of her guests wearing masks with Grainge's face on them. Guests included her sister Nicole Richie and several close friends.

Just days before the wedding, Grange told the Los Angeles Times that his favorite thing to do is spend time with Richie at home. “My happiest place is sitting on the couch with my daughter binge-watching TV shows and we’ll argue about which episode we’re watching,” he said.

April 22nd was a big day, Richie and Grainge tied the knot at the Hotel Cap Eden Roc in Antibes, France. According to People magazine , their reception was held at the poolside restaurant Eden Roc, where a full jazz band entertained guests. Wedding photos shared by Vogue show the couple's parents standing behind them as they exchanged vows.
