Miley Cyrus may have had the "best of both worlds" as a teenager while starring in Hannah Montana , but life turned out to be more exhausting than fans imagined many. As part of a TikTok interview series promoting her new single "Used To Be Young," the singer shared her typical schedule as a 12-year-old starlet, which went viral for being overwhelming.
Cyrus started her day at 5:30 a.m. and immediately got to work as she screamed in horrific pain. "I was about 12 or 13," she explained. “Friday, January 5th, 5:30am – Hair and makeup done at my hotel. 7am – We were picked up. 7:15am – I was on the news. 7:45am – I was still There’s another live interview. 8:15 – Another interview. 9:30 – 11 a.m. – Meeting with the editor, then back to the hotel.”
After returning to the hotel, she naturally had to conduct more interviews, but this time, "the reporters were all fifth-year students." Even lunch is not considered a break. “1 to 2:30 — I have a lunch interview with my dad,” she said. “2:40 – We’re off to a photo shoot for Life magazine. 3 to 5 – Interviews and shoots for the Father’s Day special issue. Arrive at 6pm for the kids’ online interviews, and then at 6:15 we do another one interview."

The next day, her workload was only slightly better, starting at 7 a.m. instead of 5:30, then flying home at 7:30 p.m. to start filming Hannah Montana again. “That was Saturday and then back to work Monday morning,” she said. Cyrus' mother Tish stood behind the camera and affirmed how chaotic her daughter's daily life is. “Those are literally the next four years of your life,” she said.
It's no wonder Cyrus is hesitant about touring right now. In another TikTok video, the Grammy nominee explained why touring is no longer healthy for her — aside from an equally crazy schedule. "Have you ever seen a girl who's been on tour for two years? I'm telling you, they come back with facial hair," she said. "I'm telling you right now, when I was on the Bangerz [tour], I got dermaplane." Now, she can sit back and let her music do all the work. "I'm a lot of things, but laziness isn't one of them. So... I do think this girl deserves an endless summer vacation," she quipped, nodding to her latest album , Endless Summer Vacation .
