Twitter jokes about Taylor Swift diving and "swimming" off stage on The Eras tour

Taylor Swift is a cross-genre record-breaking artist, 12-time Grammy Award winner, and now world-class... diver. Twitter is going crazy over Swift diving and "swimming" off stage during her Eras tour, which kicks off March 17-18 at State Farm Stadium in Arizona. Before the final act of her three-hour, 44-song set, Swift jumped from her piano, dove beneath the stage, and then seemingly literally swam under the catwalk back to her main stage. Naturally, Swift was completely mesmerized by the singer's stunt, which could be seen as a neat trick.

As Twitter fan account @thettimes pointed out, Swift walked up to an open panel on the stage floor. She waited for the light to turn green, then performed a swan dive offstage before projecting a projection of Swift swimming in the ocean onto the catwalk. After the water clears, Swift appears on the home screen, climbing a lavender cloud, leading to the first song of the midnight show: "Lavender Haze."

While this has not been confirmed, some fans have speculated that Swift actually used a "rocket sled" or something similar from her Reputation Stadium tour to return to the main stage and change costumes for the next song.

Swift expressed their shock at Swift's dramatic turn in these tweets:

Swifties weren't afraid to laugh about the stunt, lovingly poking fun at Swift's theatrics and even joking that she was in the running for Olympic gold.

Swifties also prepared a number of memes, one of which was made using her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas.

Twitter also reported that some of their friends and fellow Swifties believed Swift was literally swimming off stage, which just goes to show the singer's power.
