Gerry Turner and Theresa Nestor's golden wedding was a huge success. The series' first live wedding in years brought fans and Bachelor Nation alums together for a night that was both hilarious and heartfelt.
But what about all the other lovely single women on Gerry's season? If "Bachelor" has taught fans anything, it's that every contestant deserves her own love story and fairytale ceremony, if she so chooses.
So, ABC, let's give it to them - change it up a little bit. It's time for The Bachelor and Four Weddings to crossover. And who better than ASKN ladies April Kirkwood, Susan Noles, Kathy Swarts and Nancy Hulkower Can this vision become a reality?
A dream come true
If you haven't had the fun yet, Four Weddings follows a very simple concept: four brides attend each other's weddings and rate the events based on factors like dress, venue, food, and overall experience. The winner will receive a luxurious honeymoon. The show has been rerun many times internationally, but American viewers can usually catch it on Max or rerun it on TLC.
The beauty of Four Weddings is watching the women talk about what they hated (or loved) about each other's weddings. Each bride must abide by the number of bad words she utters. No one escapes unscathed, so the event is democratic.
It turns out that the women of ASKN are very good at this type of criticism. That's exactly what Kathy's confession about Susan's (allegedly!) gas-causing meatballs The kind of annotation that Four Weddings needs. Plus, each woman brings a different style and emotion to the table—so it'll be interesting to see how their big days differ.
they (might) fall
As April told Bustle in October, she "has been harassing producers" for a chance to work with the series again. In fact, many of the Bachelorette women have expressed their desire to continue their respective journeys on screen.
Kathy and Susan both crushed it had to do with their official duties at the Golden Wedding, so they're clearly happy with the spotlight.
About this award...
The winner of Four Weddings spent her honeymoon with her groom, but this is the one place where I theorize a Bachelor crossover could change things.
Why not offer women the chance to do a joint trip, no matter who wins? They told the Los Angeles Times they had been planning to visit St. Maarten for some time. So, they have decided to travel together.
