Seasons 1 and 2 of HBO's original comedy series Hacks earned a rare 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and the new season aims to continue that perfect record. stop making sense
"Stop Bullshit" is the best concert movie ever made, and I'll fight you if you disagree (it's also great to watch when you're high). To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film's release, A24 has restored and remastered Jonathan Demme's masterpiece, preserving for posterity the original, streamable 4k visuals of Talking Heads at the height of its powers (or at least during Max's rotation )). The years have not diminished the sheer joy of watching the new wave band play song after song alongside funk legends like Parliament keyboardist Bernie Worrell and Johnson Brothers guitarist Alex Weir.

iron claw
Although Claws was almost unanimously praised by critics, it did not receive any Oscar nominations. rip off! Maybe a movie about pro wrestling is too cheesy for the "Academy", but their loss. Yes, "Iron Claw" is about wrestling, but it's also about mourning, loss, and the resilience of family. Additionally, "Iron Claw" stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White ( "Bear ") and Harris Dickinson as the real-life Von Erich brothers, a wrestling dynasty , haunted by so much tragedy, they begin to believe they are cursed. After watching this movie, it's hard to argue with them.

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School
The first season of the Pretty Little Liars reboot is that rare thing: a really good horror TV show — so good, it's been called "the best horror of the past two decades" by Bloody's horror fanatics One of the TV shows "disgusting." The second season is subtitled "Summer School" and follows high school students Tabby, Noah, Imogen, Fran and Mouse during the summer. Silly Pet Tricks, Season 1
Sometimes, you just need to look at some cute animals. Sarah Silverman hosts this comedy variety show that features cats, dogs, camels, hamsters, foxes, and various other smart animals doing stupid things. David Letterman invented the joke on his show in the 1980s and serves as executive producer on this delightfully brainless piece of feel-good TV.

movie pass, movie crash
On the surface, a documentary about a defunct movie ticket subscription service might not sound interesting, but MoviePass' meteoric rise and return to reality is an interesting study in bad business ideas, hubris and corporate double-dealing. . MoviePass and Moviecrash are narrated by the founders of the company who then had to watch as new executives flew the plane straight into the ground.

Lighthouse (2019)
If you like dark, claustrophobic movies and you haven't seen Robert Eggers' The Lighthouse , you're making a mistake. Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe star as isolated lighthouse keepers who slowly drive each other crazy (sexual desire?). Shot in black and white and filled with disturbing and surreal images, "The Lighthouse" isn't like any other movie, but it's a movie nonetheless.

Doom - Part 2
Andrew Jarecki's Emmy-winning series "Charmed," which debuted in 2015, was a lightning-fast hit after a man admitted to committing the crime while on the microphone for a true crime documentary How common are multiple murders, right? The Jinx Part 2 completes the story of eccentric rich man turned murderer Robert Durst and promises shocking new revelations. Durst is dead, so he won't admit to committing any more murders, but it's still a fascinating story.

Conan O'Brien must go
Conan O'Brien is perhaps the funniest man in the world, and this series puts him in situations designed to inspire his spontaneously hilarious supernatural abilities. Premise: Conan visits fans in Norway, Thailand, Argentina and Ireland, interacting with the locals and creating inspired improv comedy. The formula worked very well for his late-night show, but HBO's funding meant Conan O'Brien had to go and there would be better production values - they even brought in Werner Herzog to narrate.

Synanon Repair
Synanon is hands down my favorite cult of all time, so I'm glad HBO is giving this insanely off-the-chain story of a drug rehab center's transformation into a heavily armed post-hippie nightmare cult a proper cinematic treatment. Through fascinating insider film footage and interviews with former cult members and others who were present, highlights of The Synanon Fix include dead-eyed, shaved-headed, axe-wielding cult members in matching overalls, a rattlesnake attempted murder, and more from Synanon Music from the in-house band, including jazz greats Joe Pass and Art Pepper. This series doesn’t deserve enough praise.

I don’t know if you’re aware of it, but there’s a dark side to the fashion world. take my tumor
The success of shows like "Dr. Pimple Popper" and "Botched" proves that many people enjoy reality shows about bizarre medical conditions. If you're one of them, I bet you'll love Take My Tumor , a show about extreme tumors, the people who have them, and the dedicated medical professionals who remove them. It comes from TLC (formerly The Learning Channel), who seem to have the market cornered on this type of programming.

Men (2022)
The monsters in this "high horror" movie are men—not a specific group of men, but men as a whole. From this provocative premise, director Alex Garland constructs a chilling, unsettling narrative that explores disgust through the victimization of the film's protagonist, Harper Marlowe (Jesse Buckley). The cultural and historical roots of gynecomastia. In a stroke of genius, all the men in the movie (except one) are played by the talented Rory Kinnear, because men are basically all the same.
