Bridgerton's Luke Newton pranks Nicola Coughlan in viral BTS clip

The behind-the-scenes of Bridgerton Season 3 is just as interesting. On June 3, Luke Newton (aka Colin Bridgerton) took to Instagram to share a gallery of BTS highlights from the Netflix series, which included his prankster co-star Nicola Coughlan (Pené Lope Featherington).

In the viral video titled "Polin Part 2," Coughlan was secretly filmed entering the Bridgerton Series 3 dressing room. As she approached the chair, Newton jumped out from under the dresser, startling Coughlan, who ran away screaming.

The prank quickly became a hot topic online, with some declaring Coughlan's jump "priceless."

"Luke, why are you doing this to my daughter?" another fan commented on Instagram. "This video is everything! I love their chemistry off screen," one user also wrote, while Coughlan himself commented under the video, "Hahahahahaha."

This wasn't the only prank Bolin got up to with her co-stars. In another behind-the-scenes video from the set of Season 3 posted by director Andrew Ahn, the pair are filming a ballroom scene when they are interrupted by a familiar song.

In the video, Newton quickly realized that the song was "Cougar Town" by former British boy band South 4, of which he was a member before Bridgerton .

Newton broke out of character and burst out laughing as the cast and crew danced to the 2012 song.

Fans also got a glimpse of what's to come in 2022's " Bridgerton." In a video shared by the show's choreographer at the Season 2 wrapping party, the cast and crew dance to Sister Sledge's "We Are Family" in Regency costumes.

At the time, Newton revealed to Insider that the on-set routine was his co-star Jonathan Bailey's idea.

"Sometimes after lunch, the energy drops a little," he said. "Jonathan Bailey asked choreographer Jack Murphy if we could do a more contemporary dance on the set. ... We had a little ritual that we would bring out to refresh everyone."
