Anya Taylor-Joy says 'no' to pants on Vogue Australia cover, thank you

Anya-Taylor Joy was making waves in the fashion world with her impeccable style and bold wardrobe choices while promoting her new film Furiosa: The Mad Max Legend - just yesterday , she was seen wearing a red halter top in New York. The Mugler mini dress exposed part of her butt cheeks. Additionally, the Queen's Gambit actress made headlines last week for trying out the pantsless trend at the film's UK premiere. Now, it seems she's opted out of bottoms once again, this time for Vogue Australia 's June 2024 cover.

Anya's pantsless cover

Taylor-Joy wore a Christian Dior striped long-sleeved top and Tiffany & Co earrings for the cover photo, showing a relaxed and simple temperament. The actress is an ambassador for both brands, so it makes sense that she would tend to wear them in such high-profile spotlights. As for bottoms, Taylor-Joy literally says who needs them?

Throughout the magazine shoot, the "Furiosa" actress wore her hair in a half-up, half-down style with a black bow on top. She and her longtime hairstylist, Gregory Russell, have created some unforgettable moments over the years (who can forget her prom-like updo at the 2021 Emmys?). Although this one is much simpler, the coquettish style is still beautifully done.

As for makeup, Taylor-Joy worked with her regular artist, Georgie Eisdell, to create a fresh look. The focus was on accentuating her lashes and keeping everything else natural. The simple style complements the overall mood of the shoot well.

More information about Schiaparelli briefs

In another photo from the shoot, Taylor-Joy is again naked on a lounge chair, with a pool of water reflected in her reflection. She wore white Schiaparelli briefs (in my opinion, the most fashionable way to bare tight white leggings) and a Raggedy Threads T-shirt with the number "Twenty-Four" written on it.

If Anya Taylor-Joy has taught me anything, it's that maybe I should take a page from her lead and skip shorts and skirts this summer.
