While Bella Swan has an undying love for Edward Cullen from the Twilight movies, actor Kristen Stewart isn't so smitten A 104-year-old heartthrob.
On a recent episode of the Skinny or Fat podcast, host Amanda Hirsch asked Stewart if she didn't like her character in The Twilight Saga in retrospect, and she said the character was The relationship with the vampire was "a bit hopeless". (Stewart played Bella in all five "Twilight " movies, opposite Robert Pattinson as Edward.)
Stewart agreed with Hirsch. "He was trying to control whether she made choices for herself," the actor said. "I would break up with him immediately."
Stewart recalled a scene from "The Twilight Saga" in which Edward doesn't allow Bella to live as a vampire, "I mean, if I said, 'Hey, I want to give it a try,' and he said, 'No, that's It's just for me,' and I'd say, 'Well, it's just for me.'"
While Stewart said she understands Edward's instinct to protect Bella, "you have to let a girl make her own choices."
Based on Stephenie Meyer's best-selling teen series, "The Twilight Saga " tells the story of high school student Bella who becomes infatuated with the dashing vampire Edward, despite the dangers their relationship may bring.
While Stewart was certainly no #TeamEdward, she and Pattinson dated for four years (2009-2013), a relationship the actor previously described as "the product."
"People really wanted me and Rob to be together," she told The New York Times in 2018. "This is not real life anymore. It's just disgusting to me."
Stewart was asked about the series multiple times during a press conference for her new film Love Lies Bleeding .
On WhoWhatWear , she revisited her character's wardrobe, specifically the wedding dress in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 . "I absolutely love that dress," she said of the lace gown. "I remember being a part of it. It felt like putting on a real wedding dress."
