Sydney Sweeney just dropped a reassuring update on Euphoria Season 3

The euphoria drought is about to end—in the near future. On March 13, Sydney Sweeney confirmed that she would be returning to the set of Euphoria , suggesting that production on season three may begin earlier than expected.

In a new interview with MTV, Sweeney was asked if she'd be taking a break from the ongoing press tour for a string of recent films, including her romantic comedy " Anyone But You" with Glen Powell. , Dakota Johnson’s “Lady Web” and the horror film “The Perfect One.” the answer is negative.

"I went into euphoria ," she said. She didn't reveal any details about Season 3 and even played coy when asked if she'd read the script. "Maybe, I don't know."

However, she does feel excited about returning after three years away from the show. "When I get back there, it's like coming home. I love it," she said, adding that she's looking forward to reuniting with cast members like Zendaya and Maude Apatow because they're "like Like family."

HBO previously confirmed that the next season of "Euphoria" will premiere in 2025, but will go into production sometime in 2024. Season 2 premieres in January 2022, with an unusually long gap between seasons, in part due to the cast's busy schedules.

In January, HBO executive Casey Bloys told Deadline that Euphoria creator Sam Levinson was still "busy working on" the script and had yet to set a production date . "Sam is a very talented writer; he has a lot in store for these characters and I'm excited," he said.

Season three remains shrouded in mystery, especially after Barbie Ferrera exited the show and Angus Cloud passed away in August 2023, leaving fans wondering how the show will handle the remaining Cast. In an interview with Vogue , costume designer Heidi Bivens hinted at a five-year time jump, meaning the show will follow Rue, Cassie and their post-high school years.

While the reported plot details have yet to be confirmed, Jacob Elordi is fully supportive of it and, like fans, can't wait for production to begin.

"I hope it's soon or they're going to have to Benjamin Button me or something," he joked on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon . "I think we have to move on or it's going to look a little weird."
