Taylor Swift's "2" symbol points to an interesting fan theory

It's well known, even beyond Swift, that Taylor Swift's lucky number is 13, but lately, she's been citing a different number: two.

It all started when the singer announced her new album , The Tortured Poets Department, at the Grammy Awards in February, when she flashed a peace sign with a special emphasis on the number two. Swift said the album has been two years in the making, but fans quickly realized it could be one of her classic Easter eggs, a sign of bigger things.

Since then, more Swift-esque "two" Easter eggs have appeared. At her Spotify pop-up store in Los Angeles, there were several clocks set to two o'clock and a figurine with a hand making a peace sign. Additionally, at exactly 2 p.m., a book containing the album's lyrics was flipped over, revealing more new lines.

In the "TTPD Timeline" video Swift posted on April 16, two other clocks are set to 2, and there are two desks and two typewriters. The calendar also says " TTPD Release Day" with two stars and two exclamation points, indicating that the first "Tortured Poets" music video will premiere on April 19 at 8pm ET.

So, what do these two mean? Naturally, the Swifts put on their investigative hats, pulled out their magnifying glasses, and came up with two theories.

The Tortured Poet 2AM Edition

Many fans believe Swift may have hinted that "Ministry of Tormented Poets " might be releasing a "2am version," just like she did with a "3am version" of "Midnight " at 3am ET on the day of the album's release, which included seven A new bonus track. Swift likes to release "from the vault" songs on her "Taylor Version" remastered albums, so more bonus tracks aren't out of the question.

That said, Swift has already unveiled four additional tracks from Tormented Poet : "The Manuscript," "The Bolter," "The Albatross" and "The Black Dog," which are currently only available as four separate releases Available on CD and vinyl. exist. As a result, Swift may hold off on releasing any deluxe editions of "Torture Poet" until she decides to put the songs on a streaming service.

Journey through the ages part 2

Other fans on Reddit believe Swift's two-year-old may have something to do with the long-rumored Eras Tour revamp, which they're calling Eras Tour Part 2. Since Tortured Poets was announced, there has been speculation that Swift will revise her three-year-old and - a half-hour extravaganza featuring songs from her new album when the tour resumes in Paris on May 9. Get into it.

Given that Swift has already released her Eras Tour movie on Disney+, meaning the current version of the show has been retained, some fans took this as a sign that Swift would be changing the show, adding a new act to represent Torment Poet Era (maybe sacrificing some songs to make room) or just perform her new music as a nightly "surprise song."
