Katy Perry pays tribute to daughter Daisy Dove Bloom on Mother's Day

Katy Perry is opening up about her relationship with Daisy Dove Bloom. On May 12, the singer posted a Mother's Day tribute to her and Orlando Bloom's 3-year-old daughter on Instagram.

In a gallery post, Perry shared her pregnancy milestones, such as her pregnancy photos, pregnancy tests, ultrasound scans, and what she told American Idol judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan Video of the moment she became pregnant.

"Today I told my mother that the day I realized how much she loved me was the day I had my own daughter, Daisy Dove," Perry wrote in the caption. "There is nothing better than a mother's love. Never take it for granted. Happy Mother's Day to all mothers and caregivers - no matter where you are from."

The "Fireworks" singer announced her pregnancy in March 2020 and gave birth to her daughter in August of that year.

She and Bloom announced Daisy Dove's arrival on Instagram through UNICEF, highlighting the global shortage of health workers. "We are filled with love and wonder at the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter," the announcement read. "But we know we are lucky and not everyone can have as peaceful a birth experience as we did."

Perry's Mother's Day post comes months after Bloom came clean about his paternity. In a video posted by People magazine, the actor discussed raising Daisy Dove and his son Flynn (whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr). Revealing his favorite family time, he said: "For me, it's eating together. Sitting around the same table."

Daisy Dove's viral debut

The couple's daughter made her first public appearance in November 2023 at the final show of Perry's Las Vegas residency. Perry paid tribute to Daisy Dove at the concert, who appeared on the big screen wearing a Minnie Mouse costume.

"I love you so much," the singer said. "You're my best friend. I'm so glad you're here."

Later in the show, Perry revealed how Daisy Dove inspired the residency. "When I met her, it was like all the love I'd been looking for was finally there. She made me whole," Perry said. "This show is about the child inside everyone, and hopefully if we can all see life through a child's eyes, we will be free."
