Prince William is clearly a total Swiftie

Taylor Swift's enduring cultural influence has clearly filtered down to the British royal family.

As hello! Prince William reportedly revealed that he was Swift during a recent conversation with Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.

The rock legend spoke to the Prince of Wales at the Tusk Conservation Awards in London on November 27 and asked the heir to the throne if he would like to join the Rolling Stones on their upcoming North American tour.

"We were talking about the tour and I said, 'Come on, you have to do the tour,' and we were talking about the new album and everything," Wood shared.

"William said if we could get Taylor Swift there, he would."

Wood then reportedly told William that Swift had previously performed with Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger, to which William replied: "I was right there."

Prince William and Swift have a history

Prince William had previously met Swift at a charity event in 2013, when the senior royal joined her on stage for a live performance of "Livin'" with Jon Bon Jovi 'On A Prayer".

The Prince of Wales recalled their meeting at the Apple Fitness+ Time To Walk event series in 2021, saying he was nervous about performing with Swift.

"A lot of people probably think I'm comfortable on stage. When I'm doing presentations and things like that," William said. "But I'm not done singing yet. Sometimes when you're out of your comfort zone, you've just got to go with the flow."

Swift also discussed their appearance on The Graham Norton Show in 2014 and revealed that William was "a little freaked out."

"He just looked at me and said, 'You have to come with me, you have to come with me;'" I was like, "Okay," she said. "Then we got up [on stage] and started singing 'Livin' in prayer.] Like, I died."
