Bachelor's Daisy Kent confirms she's dating her college flame

After missing out on Joey Graziadei's final rose, The Bachelor 's Daisy Kent found love elsewhere. In April, Us Weekly reported that the reality star had begun dating Thor Herbst, with whom she went to college at San Diego State University. Now, Kent has confirmed the romance and shared the first details of her new relationship.

Kent revealed on the May 13 episode of the "Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad" podcast that she and Herbst "dated four years ago in college" and remained friends after their breakup. "We didn't date very long," she said. “But we’ve been very good friends ever since and our entire college circle of friends is very close.”

The Bachelor runner-up also revealed that while Herbst decided to end the relationship in college, he tried to rekindle their relationship after she appeared on the reality show.

“It wasn’t until after the show that we decided to give it a try,” she continued. "We're trying it and it's going well."

Kent also revealed that Herbst was "very supportive" of her becoming famous on The Bachelor . "I called him before I came here. I was like, 'I'm probably going to be asked this question. Do you want me to say nothing?' And he was like, 'Whatever you want to share. But if you If you feel uncomfortable, just say it’s between me and him.”

Kent and Herbst's relationship came to light after the "Bachelor" runner-up made several comments suggesting she was dating someone new.

Recently, while speaking to Ben Higgins and Ashley Iaconetti on the "Almost Famous " podcast, she mentioned that she dated the same guy several times. "I would say I'm happy right now and looking positive," she said on the April 10 episode, confirming that her decision to turn down The Bachelorette had "nothing to do" with her current dating life.

"I can actually say 100 percent that I made this decision on my own before I even thought about anything with anyone else," she continued. "Because I know I'm at this point in my life where I have to selfishly make decisions for myself."

Daisy's Bachelor Journey

Heading into The Bachelor Season 28 finale, Daisy eliminated herself after realizing Joey might be giving Kelsey Anderson her final rose.

"I just saw you two looking at each other and I was like, wow. For the first time, I was like, I didn't think it was me," Daisy tells Joey in the finale. "I just remember that and then I kind of tried to suppress my feelings and put them aside."

In the season finale, Joey proposed to Kelsey and she accepted. Fans speculated that Daisy might be announced as the series' next Bachelorette, but another contestant, Jenn Tran, got the chance.
