Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw just got back together — sort of. Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie) and John Corbett (Aidan) reunited on the set of "This Is It..." Season 3 on May 21 in New York City.
Parker and Corbett's characters on "AJLT" have had an on-and-off relationship since the original "Sex and the City." In new photos taken during filming, the co-stars laugh and hug as the cast looks on. Corbett can also be seen yelling on the steps of Carrie's famous West Village apartment in a behind-the-scenes video captured by an onlooker fan.
Whether Kelly and Aidan will rekindle their romance will be revealed in the upcoming third season. However, when fans last saw the on-screen couple, they had decided to go their separate ways.
At the end of Season 2 of Just Like This , Aidan told Carrie that he would have to leave New York to raise his son, Wyatt, for at least five years before they could be together. In the open ending, the two spend one last night together before Aidan says goodbye to Carrie.
Aidan's return for Series 3 has yet to be confirmed. However, new behind-the-scenes photos and videos certainly indicate that he will be returning in some capacity. Additionally, the show's writer-director Michael Patrick King has discussed bringing the character back.
"I just know it's important to [Parker]. It's important to the audience because they have feelings for Aidan," King previously told People . "It's exciting from a writing standpoint because half the audience is Aidan's and half the audience is the Big team."
While speaking on the "That's It...Writers Room" podcast, King also pointed to a line from Season 2 that subtly hinted at Aidan's return.
"Well, I'll probably get some time off for good behavior," Carrie quipped in the finale, saying that, according to showrunners, because she believed "it wouldn't take five years" for her to Will be reunited with Aidan.
AJLT Season 3
Parker confirmed on May 1 that a third season of " This Is It" is officially in production. "Here. We. Go. Da Hobbs.
In addition to the show's core cast, fans can also look forward to new additions to the upcoming season, which is set to launch in 2025. Chief among the confirmed new cast members is Rosie O'Donnell, who will join the AJLT cast as a character named Mary.
