Jenn Tran Says Her Bachelorette Ending Was Different

Season 21 of The Bachelorette will go down in history. According to Us Weekly, new star Jenn Tran discussed the show at CMA Fest on June 8. She teased what fans can expect for the first time in the finale.

"I was also told that the end of my season was something that had never happened before," she revealed to "Bachelor Nation" star Kaitlyn Bristowe.

Tran was announced as the new Bachelorette in March after competing on Season 28 of The Bachelor . She was ultimately eliminated by the show's star, Joey Graziadei, before her hometown competition. Tran's season will premiere on July 8.

Speaking about her casting on After the Final Rose in March, Tran said she was "extremely grateful and honored" to be announced as the first Asian Bachelorette in the show's 22-year history.

"Coming here today... it's like, 'I'm going to lead my own love story, I'm going to be the protagonist in my story,' and I just can't help but think about how much of an inspiration I am," she said.

Two days after the news was announced, she took to Instagram to talk about her journey on the TV show.

"What a dream," she began. "Growing up, I never saw anyone who looked like me telling their love story on television. I'm so grateful to be able to inspire a generation to be proud of their culture."

Another bachelor's degree first

Prior to Season 28, Graziadei expressed similar sentiments to Tran. In January 2024, he said that there were "things that have never happened before" in the finale. He was referring to runner-up Daisy Kent's self-elimination in the previous episode.
