How to buy Southwest Airlines tickets now for under $49

It’s no secret that airfare can be expensive, and prices only seem to be going up. Nowadays, airlines seem to charge you for everything: a checked bag, the chance to choose your seat before check-in, the option to change your ticket if needed. Back in January, American Airlines CEO Doug Parker revealed that flight costs are likely to increase further in the coming months and years due to high fuel prices. So it's safe to say that when you hear about a great flight deal, you'll probably want to buy it as soon as possible. Here's a pretty good deal, friends: Southwest Airlines is running a three-day sale where you can book flights for as low as $49. For example, a plane ticket is less than $50 . This is basically unheard of in the good ole United States!

Of course, like any other sale, this one has its limitations and exceptions, but it's still worth looking into. The sale runs through Thursday. Starting on Tuesday morning, June 7th. June 5th. Southwest Airlines offers discounted one-way flights to locations across the country. The best part? It’s not entirely limited to domestic travel. Of course, the low fares only apply to one-way travel, but they're still a great way to get better flight prices.

Domestic and international travel is valid from August 21 to December 12, while travel to and from San Juan, Puerto Rico is valid from September 5 to December 6. Fares are not available to and from Albany, New York.

Of course, there are blackout dates. Domestic travel restriction dates include August 31, September 3 and November 16-27 (all major holidays). Domestic travel is also not valid on Fridays and Sundays, so if you book a ticket through this promotion, you won't be able to book any flights on these days. You can check the website for more specific blackout rules and restrictions.

Not all tickets are as low as $49, but can go as high as around $129. These prices do not include taxes, fees, and other government/airport charges, so when you add all of these costs, expect the price to go up a bit. Tickets are also non-refundable.

While there are quite a few rules, this is still a very good sale. It covers a considerable amount of time and even allows for international travel, which isn't always the case with airline sales like this. Even with taxes and fees, you may still pay less than a regular ticket. To really save money, you just have to get creative when booking your return flights - it's not impossible.

There are some deals there too: If traveling from Ft. Fort Lauderdale, Florida, travel to Havana, Cuba for only $89. If you want to go to Belize, head to Houston, Texas, and catch a flight to Belize City for $110. There are also flights from Houston to Costa Rica for $129. If you're traveling from Los Angeles, California, you can go to Cabo San Lucas for $97 or to Tucson, Arizona for $49. These are just some of the promotions on offer - you can view them all on the official Southwest Airlines promotions website .

If you've been wanting to take a break from everything, this is the perfect promotional opportunity. Let’s be honest, fall break can be a super relaxing break from the craziness of summer and the start of a new school year. This is definitely something worth looking into!
