Still finalizing your holiday road trip plans? I'm here to tell you how to get four free audiobooks this week, courtesy of audiobooks.com and CNET. The same technology site that once gave you unlimited access to children's e-books and audiobooks for $42 a year now quadruples the number of free books you receive when you sign up for a 30-day audiobook trial. com, but you'll have to act fast if you want to take advantage of CNET's offer.
Audiobooks.com offers a slightly smaller selection than Amazon's Audible plan, but with more than 100,000 fiction, biographies, and nonfiction titles to choose from, including this year's hot new titles, you'll barely notice. This month’s bestsellers include “A Man Called Ove” by Frederic Backman, “The Scrappy Little Nobody” by Anna Kendrick and “The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins .
The site's standard 30-day trial allows users to download a free audiobook of their choice. Thereafter, subscribers can choose one additional audiobook each month for just $14.95. You can purchase more audiobook credits at any time, and the audiobooks.com app for iOS, Android and Windows provides access to more than 6,000 free titles.
Use code "CNETDEAL" when you sign up for a free trial and you'll receive two audiobooks of your choice, plus two holiday classics: How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss and Clement Clark · Moore's "The Night Before Christmas" is narrated by Walter Matthau and Jeff Bridges respectively. The code is valid for all trials signed up between now and Friday, December 23, so use it soon.
I'm currently listening to Margot Lee Shetterly's Hidden Figures and I highly recommend it. Share your audiobook recommendations with me on Twitter!
