Google Pixel's new features add artificial intelligence and more

Integration with more systems such as artificial intelligence and smart homes makes the ecosystem even more compelling.

Google recently released several new updates for Pixel phones, watches, and tablets, including artificial intelligence, smart home improvements, transcription, and external display support.

As noted in the blog post, Google promises a series of upgrades to its ecosystem will be rolling out now and "in the coming weeks."

Gemini Nano is Google's on-device mobile artificial intelligence that will soon be available on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8a devices, providing support for voice recorder summaries and the phone's new voice transcription feature. The company has also added external display support via USB-C, an offline Find My Device feature, AI-powered face detection and photo optimization (as well as a way to select a specific lens when taking a photo), and a new way to find unknown objects by phone number .

The Pixel Watch also got a major upgrade: Pixel Watch 2 now supports car crash detection. PayPal will also serve as a payment source for Google Wallet, and Google Home is also getting some updates. You can now access your Google Home favorites on your watch and control your smart home devices directly from your wrist.

Pixel tablets now get richer doorbell notifications, and you can now use the docked tablet to talk to and send quick replies to your Google Nest Doorbell. There's also a new smart home widget for tablets that gives you better access to your smart devices.
