- The WeLov air purifier works quietly in the background, filtering out “stinks” from indoor air.
- It does a great job of keeping my house from smelling like dog.
- I like to use Alexa to turn it on or off.
I have a sensitive nose. I can smell everything and it's driving me crazy. But this little air purifier works wonders at keeping my home fresh.
The AiDot WeLov Air Purifier P200 Pro is a smart home gadget with Matter 1.2 technology built-in, so you can connect it to any smart home hub you might have - Alexa, Google, or even Apple. However, there are some caveats. One is that in order to connect, you need to have a 2.4GHz network. Given that most routers today are dual-band, this isn't a big deal. You'll also need to own a smart home hub made by one of these companies or others.
Once connected, however, you can control the WeLov P200 Pro via voice or set it to run on a schedule based on your specific needs. It also has a night light on the bottom that you can control the brightness so you don't trip over it in the middle of the night.
To keep up with my needs (keep in mind I have a lot of large super shedding dogs judging by my robot vacuum coverage), I left the P200 Pro running for a few days after it was hooked up just to make sure the air was getting thoroughly filter. However, after four days, I only cut back on running if the air quality in my home gets above a certain point. So far this only happens occasionally and there is no noticeable dog smell in my house. I've also asked everyone who has walked through my front door and they all agree that my house smells better.
One thing I really like is that the WeLov P200 Pro is super quiet. Unless you walk by it and happen to feel the wind from the fan, you can barely tell it's running. It does have an impressive light display on the top that gives you information about air quality. You can also turn the air purifier on or off, adjust the fan, set the time, control fan speed, and more from the display.
The P200 Pro also comes with a disposable replacement filter. While I wish it was reusable from an environmental standpoint, I know it won't be as effective at filtering bacteria, allergens, and dust from the air. So you can buy a replacement filter on Amazon for about $40.
From my perspective, this is quite reasonable. You can buy air purifiers with cheaper replacement filters, but I don't know the quality of these units. For the type of filter this device uses, replacement prices are lower than some options. The H13 True HEPA filter has a lifespan of approximately 3-6 months, depending on the contaminant levels in your environment, and can capture particles as small as approximately 0.1 microns, including dust, bacteria, and unpleasant odors such as smoke ).
The Matter tech in the WeLov P200 Pro is a big deal, and to illustrate the point, the company is sending over some Linkind Matter-enabled light bulbs, smart plugs, and switches. As with the WeLove P200 Pro air purifier, connecting them is as easy as pointing the camera on your phone at a QR code on the device. I connected four light bulbs and two smart plugs in just a few minutes, all of which can be controlled via the smart home assistant's voice or the AiDot app. I haven't tried these switches yet (because...wiring), but I'm sure they'll be just as easy to use.
All in all, the WeLov P200 Pro Air Purifier isn't the most exciting piece of tech you can buy, but if you live in a home with some old smells, a lot of dust, or pets, it might be worth it. It's easy to connect, easy to use and low maintenance. For these reasons, I recommend you give it a try. Even if you don't think you need an air purifier, you may find that it just makes your environment feel fresher.
