    • A wide variety of movies and TV series, including Hulu Originals.

    • Easy to use application.

    • Ad-free plans are available for an additional fee.

Hulu is currently the only major streaming service available for download on Nintendo Switch. Thankfully, it's also one of the best, thanks to its variety of original shows, movies, and TV series from networks like Disney, Fox, Showtime, FX, and more. You can also partially make up for the lack of the HBO Switch app by adding premium networks like HBO and Starz for an additional fee.

While the Hulu app is free to download, you'll need to purchase a subscription to watch content on Switch. There are a variety of packages to choose from, including ad-free viewing and live TV options:

    • Hulu: $7.99/month
    • Hulu (no ads): $17.99/month
    • Hulu + Live TV: $76.99/month
    • Hulu (no ads) + Live TV: $89.99/month

At these prices, Hulu's live TV package includes Disney+ and ESPN+. If you just want the live TV feature and don't need Hulu streaming or the bundle, the price is $75.99/month.

Unlike other apps on this list, Hulu is only available in the United States. You will need to set your Nintendo Online account to the US region to download the app.

    • Unlimited free access to YouTube videos.

    • Google Account login options.

    • Unable to upload video.

    • YouTube TV is not available.

If you want to watch free videos on Switch, YouTube is your best choice.

The Switch YouTube app arrived on the eShop in 2018 and is strictly a media player. While it allows unlimited access to all your favorite YouTube content, the app lacks features you'll find on other platforms. You can't upload videos, and if you're a YouTube TV subscriber, you won't be able to access the service on Switch.

    • Free trial lets you try premium features.

    • Large animation library.

    • The quality of the English dub varies.

    • Free plan limited.

Anime fans on Switch are very interested in Crunchyroll (formerly Funimation). The popular app offers over 1,000 anime titles, including Crunchyroll Originals and series such as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Jujutsu Fast Attack and My Hero Academia . There are free and paid plans to choose from, but the free plan limits you to a smaller selection with ads.

You can sign up for a Crunchyroll Premium subscription directly through the Switch app, which is very convenient. Fan membership costs $7.99 per month, but it comes with a 14-day free trial so you can try it out first. Depending on the premium level you choose, you can stream up to six simultaneously with a single account, so you can easily access Crunchyroll on other devices when you're not using your Switch.
