I think we can all agree that Spotify Wrapped Day is the best day of the year on social media (well, maybe not for Apple Music users). Not only can you show off your own listening statistics, but you can also get spikes in other people's playlists. You can count on everyone from childhood friends to A-list celebrities to join in on the fun, but the other 364 days of the year, you're probably counting down the days until the music event of the season arrives. Well, thanks to the virality of Spotify's Receivetify tool, you don't have to wait to care about what other people are listening to.
IYDK, Receiptify takes your most listened songs on Spotify and turns them into digital receipts, meaning you don't have to wait until the end of the year to show off your most listened to tracks. Before you search your account for this feature, you should know that the Receiptify tool is hosted by a third-party app called Herokuapp, not Spotify. But don't worry, you don't have to enter songs one by one into the app to get your songs. As a generator, Receiptify creates a digital receipt that is completely unique to you and your statistics. You can create receipts for the artists you play most often, your favorite artists, and more. The app is also available to users of the music platform Last.fm.
If you're ready to post your favorite songs (like Spotify Wrapped Day), here's an overview of how to use Receiptify.
How to use receipts
After opening the Receiptify app, you need to select the "Sign in with Spotify" option to log in to your Spotify account. Next, you'll be taken to the Spotify login page, where you can log in with a Google, Facebook, or Apple account, or with your email or username and password. Then, click the "Agree" button to allow the app to view your Spotify data.
Once you're in, you can choose whether you want your "receipts" to be based on your top tracks, top artists, listening statistics from the past month, the past six months, or all time. It doesn't take long to load, and you can easily switch between options to see all your statistics in the receipt form.
When you're ready to share your receipt with your followers, all you have to do is click the "Download Image" button. From there, you can decide whether to post it to Stories for everyone to see, or just to Close Friends for the OGs to see. It's that simple, everyone. Who says Spotify Wrapped Day only needs to happen once a year?
