The iPhone and Android game controllers we all love are getting a new limited edition look.
Did you know Post Malone is a gamer? Apparently he is, and he's teamed up with Backbone to develop a sleek new Backbone One controller.
Today's announcement from Backbone (shared with Lifewire in a press release) may come as a bit of a surprise to anyone unfamiliar with Malone's games (or maybe not, if you're familiar with the Death Stranding Backbone One controller) or Call of Duty: Warzone " Version). The Backbone One - Post Malone Limited Edition controller will be limited to 500 units and comes in a new translucent green color.
But that's not the only difference you'll see. First, each of the 500 units will be serially numbered and delivered in hand-assembled packaging. The new controller also features some Post Malone-inspired details, including "upgraded aluminum D-pad" and "laser-etched aluminum ABXY buttons."
There's also a very cool glow-in-the-dark Post Malone logo, and access to Malone's favorite games - Fortnite , Call of Duty: Warzone , WWE 2K24 , and Apex Legends .
"The Backbone One - Post Malone Limited Edition Controller was designed in collaboration with Post Malone to reflect the artist's unique style and personality and emphasize the intersection between music and gaming," the company wrote in a press release sent to Lifewire potential."
You'll be able to order a limited edition version of Backbone One from the Backbone website starting June 25 at 9 a.m. PST. It's limited edition and costs $200, but it's likely to sell out quickly, so be prepared to act fast if you're interested.
