The most astrologically intense day of the year is here

April 20 will be one of the most intense days of the year as Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Taurus at 10:27 PM ET (7:27 PM PT). This planetary transit stirs up tremendous upheaval on a personal and global scale—think: powerful disruptions and creative breakthroughs. Please pay attention to this moment as this event only occurs once every 84 years.

A conjunction is when the paths of two planets are close to each other, usually meeting in the same sign. Astrologically speaking, this creates a powerful fusion of energies. Jupiter rules luck, prosperity and growth, while unpredictable Uranus rules the future. Taurus rules money, the environment, self-worth, values, and beauty; April 20 marks the beginning of the bull's reign.

It all adds up to a "shocking explosion," as astrologer Nina Kahn previously told Bustle. “Individually and collectively, big changes are happening.”

"Personally, this can lead to brilliant bursts of inspiration and profitable new ideas and innovations, especially in the Taurus-ruled part of your birth chart," Kahn says.

It will also have widespread impact. "On a collective level, watch for major developments and global shifts around money and finance, as well as an expansion of some of the themes that have been present with Uranus in Taurus over the past few years," she said.

Jupiter and Uranus come together every 14 years, regularly triggering world-changing changes. The last one occurred in 2010, the same year as the Arab Spring, Occupy and WikiLeaks. The effects of the conjunction can usually be felt over the next few weeks.

However, this particular dynamic won't happen again until 2108. Historically, quite a few significant events occurred during these periods.

The last Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus occurred in June 1941, the same month Germany invaded Russia during World War II. Known as Operation Barbarossa, it remains the largest and deadliest military operation in history.

Before that, Charles Darwin published his theory of evolution on July 1, 1858, five weeks after the conjunction in late May.

No matter what is going on around you, use your creativity and be open to change.
