Disney Shares Its Kitchen Sink Sundae Recipe and Recipes Include 5 Ice Creams

There are some desserts that dare to make desserts where no dessert has ever been made before. There's really no other way to explain the Disney Kitchen Sink Sundae. It feeds six people. It uses a whole can of whipped cream. It comes in a bowl that looks like a real kitchen sink. Now, you can make this glorious sugar explosion at home, as Disney shared the recipe on its Disney Parks blog. If there is someone in your neighborhood who is "not a dessert person" they will need to move out of the premises immediately.

The over-the-top kitchen sink sundae is usually only available at the Beach and Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort. Of course. It uses 29 different ingredients, including five different ice creams, two different cupcakes, and - I know I've said this before but it bears repeating - an entire jar of whipped cream. If you want to embark on this journey, buckle up. Here are the ingredients you'll need to make a kitchen sink sundae:

  • Gummy Ingredients
  • butterscotch topping
  • peanut butter topping
  • banana
  • Cinnamon Spice Cupcakes
  • Angel Food Cupcakes
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • chocolate ice cream
  • Strawberry ice cream
  • Chocolate Bean Mint Ice Cream
  • coffee ice cream
  • chocolate sauce
  • Marshmallow Cream
  • strawberry filling
  • pineapple filling
  • A full jar of whipping ingredients
  • brownie
  • A piece of candy (they don't specify the kind, so use your own discretion and/or use your favorite candy)
  • Oreo
  • toasted almonds
  • dark chocolate chips
  • white chocolate chips
  • Oreo crushed
  • Orange Slice Jelly aka these sugar-coated gummies
  • milk chocolate chips
  • peanut butter chips
  • chocolate sprinkles
  • rainbow sprinkles
  • black cherry
  • A large bowl and an empty stomach

From there, it's mostly scooping, assembling, some light breaking and crunching, and deciding who should have the honor of sharing this dessert with you.

If you need help figuring out how to assemble this delicious monster, Disney's YouTube channel shows them how to assemble a kitchen sink sundae. It also shows what a full jar of whipped cream looks like. Spoiler: that’s a lot of whipped cream.

Disney has been sharing some fan-favorite park recipes on the Disney Parks Blog since people can't experience them in person. There are Tonga toast recipes, which are like French toast in X-Games mode. If trying a 29-ingredient recipe isn't for you, the classic Dole Whip recipe uses just three ingredients. There's even a recipe for churros that might taste great on a kitchen sink sundae. Use this information as you see fit.

While Disney has begun a phased reopening of its parks, you can still enjoy a little magic from the comfort and safety of your home. Good luck, my sweet-toothed friends.
