McDonald's adds fried pork chops to menu

There are no two ways about it: December was not kind. With the latest government guidelines canceling Christmas for many people, it's only fair that we have something to look forward to. McDonald's newest product: Katsu Curry McNuggets.

Yes. You read it correctly. The famous fast-food chain announced the news via Twitter: "Katsu. Chicken McNuggets. That's it, that tweet." Simple, but effective.

Of course, Katsu Curry is Wagamama's favorite. Foodies rejoiced when Wagamamas shared a recipe they shared during the first lockdown in April. (Talk about #TBT…) The classic Chicken McNuggets we all know and love will be coated in crispy fried pork curry breadcrumbs and served with a classic sweet curry sauce for an extra kick of spice. While this is by no means a festive release, it certainly has a festive feel to it.

In November, McDonald's unveiled its popular Christmas menu, which includes a Double Big Mac previously only available in the U.S., a new jerk chicken sandwich and a Celebration McFlurry. Additionally, McDonald's Cheese Melting Spoon is back on the holiday menu for 2020.

Like the classic McNuggets, the novelty McNuggets will be sold in boxes of 6 (£3.59), 9 (£4.09) and 20 (£5.99). However, it's unclear if they can be ordered as part of a meal deal.

Katsu McNuggets will launch nationwide on December 30, but will only last for six weeks. Consider yourself warned.
